Yes, bounce broken for sure! That’s what happens - just when you think you can’t take it anymore and you want to raise the dose, they drop like a stone. Been there, done that. ;)

Wow, Bella!!! No middle ground for you!

I was actually wondering if maybe part of that "long bounce" was actually several (overlapping?) shorter bounces. He had a couple of cycles yesterday where he quickly dropped 100+ pts early on, and quick drops can produce bounces even if they don't go too low, he may have done that some other times in the past few days. But then again, whoo! This morning's numbers are a pretty definitive bounce breaking all in themselves!

I know I was shocked it about knocked me off the chair! I was prepared to increase this am lol he was like nope I done on the trampoline, gonna hang by the water

Silver lining: you're learning a lot about Bella's bounce patterns, especially after lime green. It'll save you some mental anguish next time. ;)

So I guess now we have green numbers again he’s gonna bounce for the next 2 days again, ugh when will it ever stop bouncing, he used to not bounce as long

Whoa--- just saw that PMPS. Gonna make my usual suggestion-- re-test!

I mean, he might have gone up that much in the 5hrs since +7, but he was having such a nice long surf, I was hoping he would at least make it a gradual rise....

Why would he go,up so much like that I about fell over

Yup, looks like you've headed into another bounce! I think holding the dose is a good move here. I'm still not 100% sure that the multi-day bounce was all a single event, so this one may play out differently.

This can drive an person completely mentally insane, seriously, am I doing something wrong or need to do more or different, I just want to cry for him

I thought someone said the lower he gets used to lower numbers to less the bounce, bella has had good numbers till the last 2 days and it seems to be more often and a lot longer, I’m not complaining, I just try so hard for him, seems I’m not doing enough, yes I’m having a semi melt down :confused::confused::confused:

You're doing absolutely nothing wrong! It just takes time, especially if you have a cat who bounces. You are fighting against the unknown time he spent undiagnosed and getting used to the higher numbers, sometimes it takes that much time, or longer, before they get used to the low numbers.

It's really really good that when he gets to those wonderful green surfing numbers, he likes to hang out for several hours rather than zooming up immediately. The more time he spends in those numbers, the more chance his pancreas has to heal and learn to produce its own insulin again (this is separate from getting used to low numbers and not bouncing-- different biological mechanisms). He's doing great, and so are you!
