    Good morning!
    AMPS 88 shooting 1.75u

Like usual, Boomer ate all of his overnight fuds except for his +6. And this is fine because he gets extra fuds at +3

Allen ate better last night. Not up to his usual CPC but much better than the previous 2 nights. We'll see what happens today. It's been 1.5 days since Cerenia was given; Dr Larry's instructions were to give Cerenia every 2 days (he did say it could be given every day) but when Allen was on Cerenia late last year we had to give it to him every 1.5 days.

Yesterday afternoon DH and I went for a drive to Hawk Cliff. It is on Lake Erie and is named because of the thousands of raptors that fly through the area each fall. We went for a walk on a trail there and I spotted a fawn off to one side. It was very tiny and I'm assuming might have been only a few days old. There was lots of vegetation between me and it but luckily it was curious about us and kept its head up watching us for a minute while I got some shots. Mom and Dad Deer weren't seen but I'm sure they weren't too far away. Photo attached.

Good report on the kitties and a great pic! I laughed out loud at the reference to mom and dad deer. Mom is not to far away, they will often park the fawn and go about their business, rarely will the fawn move till mom gets back. Dad on the other hand was only on hand last fall for a few minutes :woot:. Worked his magic and went off in search of another liaison. "Men, I tell ya", wait a minute.............

lol I do know that they tend to park the fawn in some long grass so that parents can graze in peace. But we see deer regularly at one of our cemeteries and Dad is always close by. Of course he could be hanging around because of the Doe and not the Fawn

Fed a bit of higher carb ff and now he's eating his regular +3 fuds.
I may be giving him a reducie although technically he hasn't earned it.

Boomer is eating fine; he gets more food at +3 now (so that he will let me sleep) so he's not hungry for his +6
With Allen, his diazoxide was doubled very recently because of a low BG again. It has upset his tummy and there were several small pukes and a big loss of appy. Cerenia has made it better.

Fabulous pic of the fawn. One of our mamadears parked her fawn in tall grass near our garage several years ago. I was going to mow that section, but fortunately spotted the baby and put the mower away. Mama came several times every day to feed the baby. She knows that our yard is a safe spot. I haven't seen any fawns yet this year.

Nice that both boys are eating their fuds.

@Red & Rover (GA) has dealt with CKD and is in Canada, might have some low P food suggestions available there that weren’t on your list. That’s the only person I could find so far, will tag more if I find them. :bighug:

Sorry, it's been almost 2 years since I last stood in pet supply stores. I'm sure formulas have changed. Wellness Core beef, venison lamb was what Rover would eat but I remember Ella and Rusty saying something about the formula. I relied heavily on phos binder.

There is this list from Food links: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...KQ9wlZAe1Xy3LDTDVRofU/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=0

Gotta go, dinner has to come out of the oven now – or else it's trash.

PMPS 59 and Boomer has reached my threshold for a NS.
I've been considering giving him a reducie down to 1.5u but he's still seeing some blues every other day (possibly mini bounces) so I may hold him at 1.75 for a couple more days. Expecting a bounce/some blues tomorrow morning.

Could you explain what you mean by a NS threshold? It's a shootable number for an experienced member like you. It won't be a bounce tomorrow, but rather a lack of insulin/depot disruption.

The food list linked above is now out of date and/or includes foods not available in Canada. I fed Neko raw for most of her CKD, until she couldn't eat it anymore, and I ended up with mostly selections from Weruva. The Glam N Punk had higher calories and some novel proteins. The Weruva website lists the P content. Since higher carb is OK for Allen, you could just use Tanya's food list.

I will get Allen back on his kidney diet (hopefully) once his tummy is settled down.
