I've been working on dialing in the numbers for wilbur and I think i'm doing this right, would just like a confirmation/advice.

As you can see in his chart linked here I lowered his dosage 1/4 u. he seems ok, but i noticed twice he went up to 300+ on his PMPS.

I made this change because twice his AMPS was too low to dose, and his little ears are getting harder to poke, or at least it seems that way. he gets more resistant. I do ok but he hates it.

Can someone confirm/advise me on the dosage change looking at his results?

Still looking good on 3.25 u. Leave him there for a bit. How is he feeling? Any weight loss?

This is what confused me. He's eating less now. I can also see he's thinning down. I was having anxiety issues to the point I was in the hospital for 3 days, but once I got back and settled down he did too. I think he was buying into my stress.

He's seemingly more playful now than he used to be, and he's definitely eating less.

I just worried about his couple 300+ PMPS and wondered if I should go back to 3.5.

They definitely pick up on our stress and anxiety. Leave the dose at 3.25 u for a couple of days. I wouldn't worry about those pinks. I'm very glad to read that he's moving more and is slimming down. :)

I see that Wilbur continues to do well. Update your SS when you have time. ;)

    Hi there,

yes I will. I get lazy sometimes. since i check him with the meter it tells me the times and results so i go back in and update the times.

you think I'm ok skipping the doses i have?

It hasn't seemed to hurt him. You could try a reduced dose sometime as an experiment to see how he does - maybe 50% of normal. How is he feeling? His weight?

I'm happy to report he's lost about 2.5 lbs so far.

I'm not sure the best way to weigh him. I got on the scale and weighed myself. then picked him up and did it again and took the difference.

the actual numbers are he weighed 26lbs a month or so ago, and he weighed 23 and some change now.

he poops twice a day now though and he gets all frisky at least a couple times a day, sprinting from one end of the hosue to the other. Sometimes chasing his sister in a playful way.

I definitely see him being more 'fun'

That's great news! You want his weight loss to be slow. If he's a big cat he'll probably be good at 16-18 lbs.

that does make sense. he's a big guy anyway. he's almost 1.5 times the size of his sister and twice the size of our little rescue pickle. but she's tiny anyway.

I bet she doesn't weight more than 10lbs

Wups, I meant to update his spreadsheet. it's current now.

He had 166 AMPS so I didn't dose him. at +7 he's only at 226 so he's fine.

Love that he's losing weight! he poops twice a day now too which is new. used to be once. I can always tell when he does because he sprints around the house chasing his sisters.
