The pink looks like he got contraband (or something off the floor?). How is he feeling? This will be the 6th cycle since green so if you don't see green I would scooch the dose back up to the full 1.0U - let's see what expert dosers say.

Wish it was contraband, but unfortunately there is NO contraband in this house except for his hypo canned food, he seems fine eating well, I will say it does stress him out putting the eyes drops in his eyes, he hates it, his eye looks fine so wondering if I should just stop it

I wonder if the eye drops have something in them that could make his BG higher?

You could. I have but don't think it has ever been bad insulin (with Gizmo). If you switch and don't get better numbers I would finish the pen/vile you are currently using. Dang stuff is so expensive.

    Hmm. Good thought.

What is the name of the eye drops? I wouldn't stop them. I would finish the cycle.

I agree. I would continue them, but keep in mind that could be causing the higher numbers.

Dexamethasone sounds like it could have sugar in it to me. I could be wrong though.

His numbers should come back down once he's done with the drops if that is what is causing it.

Dexamethasone is a potent steroid. There might be a little systemic absorption and that could possibly affect his BG. I wouldn't change anything about dosing, etc. How long does your vet want you to use the drops?

I would continue the drops and if his numbers keep going up you may need to increase the dose while he is on the drops. You may want to make a note on his SS of what date he started the drops so you can track things.

    Just a thought...
I wouldn't discontinue the drops on my own either, but I'd be very tempted to call my vet to ask if there was a something else available to give him that doesn't contain a steroid. Maybe neopolydex is the best or the only drops to give him, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
