    Yesterday's

Okay... So, all the important info is in the past couple of threads. But, we did have another very important development happen this morning. Tail, mister stable and super healthy has started to present with the very same symptoms as Pig, albeit a bit more subdued. Tail is a regular LB pro. He always poos out nicely formed poos the size of small children (he is a Maine, so naturally bigger). But, now his poo is light yellow in color and chalked full of mucous.

They share nothing in common. They eat different foods. They even get different probiotics. The only food thing they have in common is the EZ Egg and the water. The eggs we have been doing for a while, so not the issue. The water is new, but it is still spring water. There are a few flies in my house, so maybe something from that? Their food is never left out, though. Ever. Not anymore. Tail has even quite eating all his food. He eats more than Pig. I do not keep chemicals in my house and the few cleaning items I have are stored in plastic containers under the sink. They do not drink tap water. They do not go outside. Literally, I work to control every thing they come into contact with, so what gives???

Recently I had to change litters because Chewy was out of the Dr. Elsey's Senior care litter. I had to get something I had never used before. That is the only common change and even point between the two. I am going to the store to get basic clay litter and dumping all pans tonight. I have Dr. Elsey's Senior care on order to be here Saturday. I will be contacting their vet and making payment arrangements and if she will not allow me to do that then I will be selling everything I own to a pawn shop to get one or both of them there on Friday.

Both act rather normal. Pig still makes a bit of noise when approaching the LB, but his habits are a bit more normal now. He is urinating far better than he way, which tells me the constipation is out and now his bladder just needs to settle down a bit. Tail is sleeping a lot, but when doesn't he? But, he is not eating. Both had hair in their poo and neither have thrown up. Nothing crazy seems amiss except the poo.

But, to have both do the very same thing??? Especially with Tail. He is my tank. Never has anything wrong with him. I am getting a bit freaked out at this point. If it turns out to be the litter, you can bet me and that company are going to have some serious words.

Didn't you say Tail was recently transitioning to raw? Musousy poo is one of the signs of their body cleansing and getting used to raw. Should go away in a bit. Cats will also eat less raw than canned, as it is nutritionally more dense.u

I managed to get him to eat raw 2x mixed in his food. He won't touch the stuff now. But, that was weeks ago..

I hope you really don't have to do that. With our kittehs, we use standard clumping clay litter. It works well for them, and we like the inexpensive price. Petsmart just had a "save 30% on $100" coupon. We bought 5 tubs of litter and 1 gallon of Urine Destroyer. As we all know, the Urine Destroyer doesn't exactly destroy as advertised, but I guess it is better than Windex or water.
