    Cheers from Argentina,

I cannot remmember whose thread I read first about the wooden pellets but I just wanted to say thank you so much for the recommendation and pass it on to whomever hasn't tried them yet.

Here in Argentina I get a different brand (I think OKA was recommended in the forum). I've been using them for some time now and they are just excellent: odour free, no trailing ,excellent absorption ratio, great hyghiene (nothing dirty or stuck at the bottom of the tray) oh and CHEAP (at least here they are a fraction of the cost of regular litter not fancy silica or such types). A full 10 out of 10 from Kitty and me.:woot:

Hi Veronica i am currently living in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and use tronquitos, a local brand. they deliver and the bags are great because fhey have easy opening + ziplock for easy closing once the bag is open.
i also line the tray with a potty training matt for pupies. it might be a blt excessive I know but after the first experiences with excessive peeing and dealing with the muddy clay alternatevily soggy or clustered at the bottom of the tray I rather be abobe specificacions. my tray is also lined with an open trash bag wich is the first layer liner, these layers give me peace of mind in terms of hygiene and ultimately much less work than what I was doiing originally. cleaning the tray is just a matter of trowing away the bottom plastic liner and tbe actual tray underneath is quite clean underneath the plasticliner the matt and the wooden pellets litter

Some caretakers have used as litter compressed wood pellets made for stoves. Might be easier to find that wood-pellet litter.
