Spreadsheet attached. 8:15 she was at 93, no shot. 10:45 she's at 216. Should I give her her normal dose now? Or wait till her normal 8:30pm shot?

Wait unless you want to move the pm shot to 10:30 pm

If you shoot now, the next shot would be 12 hours from that.
You would have to work your way back to your shot time in 30 minute ( or the 15 minute) if you need your shot time to stay the same for work schedule.
You would lose less momentum that way by shooting but it depends on your schedule.

Next time you get a too low number, stall without food and retest in 20 -30 mins. You want to shoot as soon as the number is shootable and not let it get too high. And if your schedule can be off a bit, I would shoot now.

I've spent the last 15 minutes trying to get her out from under the bed. No dice.

I'll get back on schedule this evening, and maybe even move her shot time in by an hour. That would work better for my schedule anyway.
Does this sound like a decent plan??

That's fine if it works better for your schedule.

Well, her 7:00pm test was 364. Definitely one of the highest numbers I've documented to date <sigh>

I don't think 93 was too low to not shoot. you should have shot at 93 if you using Lantus that's what I used to do

Well, given the experience yesterday, I shot at 140 today (AlphaTrak2 - which I've been told is low to shoot) and she dropped to 134 at +5 and climbed back up to 145 at +7. With this history under my belt, I might be a little more daring.

I guess maybe I don't know the whole history I use a human meter and if it's at 93 I shoot Lantus maybe I didn't understand the whole thing. sorry!

Using AlphaTrakII. She was at 99 PSPM, which is too low for that meter. +1/10 minutes she's at 104. That is over an hour stall. Is it okay to shoot 2 hours after normal? Or wait until tomorrow? She's throwing me off at least once a week! Last time, she jumped when I didn't give her anything.

You can shoot 2 hours late, but only if you can move your shot time by 2 hours tomorrow!

You can work your way back to your chosen shot time by adjusting 15 minutes per cycle or 30 minutes per day

If you can't do that, I'd go ahead and skip tonight

You also seem to be changing the dose based on the Pre-shot numbers.

Lantus doesn't work like that. You need to find a dose you can give both AM and PM and hold that dose for at least 3 days (unless she dropped below 68 for Tight Regulation or 90 for Start Low, Go Slow)

It's also very important to get at least a "before bed" test on the PM cycle....most cats go lower at night, so it's important for her safety, but also, without getting tests on the PM cycle, you're missing half the data for what's going on with her blood glucose.

Thanks Chris. I chose to skip the shot. She was a little high this morning, but not terribly bad.
