    Good morning,
Meant to reduce him last night since the depot didn't like us last time, but totally forgot. :banghead: I did this morning. Seems to be doing well :) Oh yes and appetite wise - one of his new flavors he totally loved, and has been eating his original flavor too. These picky cats around here I swear!

    Got a few things checked off my list today for our trip during my lunch break;
    - Made an appointment to get him microchipped, just in case... :blackeye:
    - Ordered a collar with his information on it, including that he is diabetic, and a bell.
    - Ordered puppy pads to put under the towels/blankets/litterbox in the crate just in case.
    - Ordered bubble wrap because the traveling with a diabetic kitty paper suggested it for under the crate, saying it could essentially soak up some vibration from the road? Sounded good so I thought I might as well.
    - His harness didn't fit so I ordered a new one. It should be here today, so I want to try and get it on him tomorrow and see how he does. If he doesn't freak too much I will leave it on for a few hours.

Today is DH's 30th birthday, not anything too exciting going on but we will probably be heading to his moms to see her later. My online training for my new second job has to be done by Thursday, and after that I have to set up my own business Facebook and try to market myself. Totally new experience for me, I am so nervous to put myself out there! But I feel like I will do well after the initial few weeks. This weekend is packed again, but I am hoping to set up his crate in the car soon and take him for a "test run" (lol sounds terrible).

PS @LuvinThisPig I keep forgetting to tell you that I am totally obsessed with his shaved belly. Its so soft :arghh:

I hope everyone has a nice day.

You will miss it when the hair grows back in! :p I am toying with another US just to do this... :)

Good job on the Microchip. I like AKC Reunite for service on it. It is a bit more costly the first time around, but the subscription is for a lifetime. They offer some great services for it as well. Both my boys are registered through them and they send out tags also. Pig has the diabetic option. Really awesome service.

Which suggestion of Sarah's? The shaving the belly again? :p

I got a tag made at Petsmart for Neko's harness, that had her name "diabetic", and contact into. Very cheap.

A friend of mine borrowed Neko's harness foe her kitty. He flopped over belly side up and wouldn't move. Didn't even eat! You may need to take it slow. Start with it fairly loose if it's adjustable. Neko was fine with hers, but I had trained her with a harness when she was young.

Thank you Wendy I bought a tag from amazon too for only like $3 for three lines, so his says that he is diabetic too :) I just tried on his harness and he did well so far! I only had it on him a few minutes but I got him to walk in it for a treat, haha. He looks so handsome

@Amanda and a Loudogg thank you for this harness suggestion! I want to see Lou in his!

Shaw! Amanda... They are twinsies!!! I love this pic! He is so, so beautiful! :bighug:

I like the brighter color... Good choice! Reds a bit more manly than Pig's pink one, but it fit Pig's personality well... :p

Good to hear the harness training is going well. How many treats has he managed to get from you so far?:p

What I really like is how sleek and shiny his coat is. Shmee looks like a really healthy cat. You wouldn't know he was diabetic to look at him. Well dome Amanda.
