He still has has soft serve poo but it is in the LB.

I am waiting on a reply to our vet update but I would really like to try to add some rabbit. The turkey only has helped but I think he needs other protein in rotation.

Does anyone use a rabbit food they like?

Today I tried to make peach jam for the first time. Hope it works. Waiting it for it to cool and the jars seal.

No advice on the food, as there are very different brands over there.. hope you find something that works!

Yummy on the jam! I remember when my mom used to make and the whole house would fill up with the smell of all kinds of fruits, strawberry, cherry, peaches, apricots. It smelled delicious and it was! Hope you enjoy! Just make sure Jonesy doesnt get his little cute furry paws on it :cat:

Yeah for in the box! Guess the cat nip is helping?

I used to give canned rabbit to Bubba and I was rotating rabbit, venison and duck. Bubba liked it, ....Bubba usually likes all food. It was Instinct by Nature's Variety. I use to order in from Pet Smart but this link is from Chewy.

Hope your peach jam is tasty. If it doesn't set up well, it would be a great ice cream sauce. :joyful:

Yay for poo in the lb. I hope it firms up soon. Good luck with the rabbit.

I am playing around with novel proteins with Gizmo. He seems to be doing better on it. Seems most is higher in phos than I would like but since adding ALHO (binder) it is, what it is.

Whole Earth Duck (been his staple for about six months)
Just tried Ziwipeak Venison (loves it do far)

    To try...
    Ziwipeak Rabbit and Lamb
    Soulistic Lamb
    Koha Guineafowl
    HOUNDS & GATOS Lamb
    HOUNDS & GATOS Pork

Another that Gizmo can't have (way too high in phos) is I and Love and You Whascally Wabbit but if ckd isn't an issue with Jones than you could try it.

He hasn't missed going in the LB (at least trying) since I put some in. Added a pinch of refresher today! Best tip so far.

I tried to make jelly instead and it tastes great but it didn't set...guess I should of let it boil a bit longer. That said...ice cream sauce is exactly what I said!

    LOL...that is just bad...good...but bad!

Been ages since I made jelly/jam. Did you add pectin? If memory serves correctly - it will start to thicken before it is put into the jars. Ice cream sauce - yum. Get cha a half gallon of this

I did use pectin. It looked like it was thickening when I turned the heat off...was getting some foam. It was hard as someone told me to put a 1/2tsp of butter in to keep the foam down but the amount of foam kind of told me when to start putting it in the jars. Maybe will not do that again. The foam is good on toast the first couple of days any way.

    Mmmm....ice cream.
