I've been giving her a 1/4 of a florastar 2x a day. She has pooped alot but today it started being runny. And very sour smelling. I'm just wondering could it be the probiotic?

I've read that it can. They may be too strong for her. It happens with me even when I take different kinds that are too potent.

My one neighbor had this happen with her Russian Blue, Svetlana (aka. Lawny) - she switched down to 1/8 2x a day and it helped, from what I can remember but it took about 1-3 days to even out. She cut down on adding water to the wet too during the 1-3 days, from 2 tbs. down to 1 - once she was ok (formed stools) she went back up to 2 tbs water. To bring her back up after that she did 1/4 during the day and 1/8 at night (so evening stools didn't keep anyone up, cat included) - that took about a week I think? I could call them if you like, just going by memory.

You're welcome, again I can call and see if they did anything else? Poor Lawny is still around, she 22! Brought over from the Ukraine just like her owners - real cool people. Let me know, happy to help. :)
