9/19 Grandpa +11 74, AMPS 211, +8 67 (AT)!

Yesterday

I'll admit it. I'm pretty nervous this morning. My vet suggested we give an enema. I held him and my roommate started the enema. She didn't give much before she stopped and said she felt resistance. He got in the litterbox, but only the liquid came out. I called my vet and she asked me to drop him off. I just got back home.

She wants to work with him throughout the day to make sure he poops. Of course x- rays are first on the plan. That brings up inevitable conversations about tumors and such.

Grandpa was awesome this morning. He was eating last night's Friskies leftovers when I woke up at 6. I tested him, and he was 74 so I gave him some FF with gravy and he dug into it. He ate about half and then wanted attention. He grabbed at my fingers, climbed onto my shoulder when I laid down with him, and purred like crazy. If he wasn't constipated, I'd be celebrating a great morning. Instead he's at the vet and I'm waiting anxiously for phone calls.

Ugh!

 

Vines for some fast results in the pipe department and Grandpa can be back home to cuddle with you.

 

Sending mega calming prayers over Grandpa And calm to your heart too, Beck Easy , quick poo for him and he gets to come home quickly .

 

I hope he gets to come home soon. Sending prayes.

Dr. M just called. She said he's ready to come home! She said he had a huge amount of stool that they manually removed including one piece over 3" big. He would've never passed it on his own. She said he vomited twice, which is not uncommon when they do what they did. She said he likely won't eat much today.

She was pleasantly surprised at his bloodwork. She said bilirubin was slightly worse by .5 but kidney values are great.

So the sweet boy is coming home! Thank you all for the prayers, vines, and support.

I'm glad Grandpa is coming home. I wouldn't doubt inappetance after the invasion of the netherworld. But hopefully tomorrow will be better, without the added extra baggage. Hugs to all in the home.

That face!! "I've been violated I tell ya!" So sweet his face. Glad they got him unplugged.

 

Now he's down to 67 on the AlphaTrak and won't touch food. My cuticle is the first victim of claws from a syringe of gravy.

 

Bet he’s thinking “ Hey, Mom, enuf is enuf for today . First my back end gets assaulted and now you are going at me from the front end . Not cool “.......Prayers that he cooperates and your cuticles/fingers remain intact
