After a day in the yellow's I was surprised to wake up with Tucker testing at 5.3. I stalled 20 minutes and he went up to 5.6 (105). Another 20 minutes and he is down to 4.9 (88).
@JeffJ @Bron and Sheba @Bobbie And Bubba What now??

Are you around to monitor? Have plenty of high carb food and test strips? You have shot a 97 and a 72 before. Might be dropping due to lack of food.

I'm so glad you saw my post. Thanks Wendy! I'm here for another 5 hours and then I'll be away for 4 hours. I can cancel my plans and be here tonight. He is happy, purring his head off and nudging me with his head because he wants food.

In case it wasn't clear, I would shoot and get a +1 and a +2.

FYI, flat yellow often means an active cycle to follow. You have to decide if you are OK with that today. A delay acts a bit like a dose reduction.

Yes, I think I understand. He has had breakfast and a 4.5 shot. I'll do a +1 and a +2 and maybe again before I leave. I'll give him some lunch before I leave, what that is will depend on what his numbers look like. I'll make the call on whether to keep my dinner plans based on his pm test. I'll post the numbers over the next few hours. Thank you :)

Agree with Wendy. Many people dose at these lower numbers, but you have to ensure Tucker gets food.

A couple tsps of his regular LC food. Let's see if we can get him surfing.

I would feed him through this whole cycle. If he goes lower then gravy food.

Also, could you update your title with the latest test data. That's a clue that you might be needing some help, though he's OK so far.

I just got back onto the site! I got a red band across the header with a message saying "Security Alert" and I was basically locked out. I went heavy on the MC food since I was going to leave for several hours. (Won the grand final...yay....) and then got back and he was still ok. Had a massive bounce this morning but tonight he's come back to a more normal range. Now that I am able to open up the site, I'll go do my updates. I've checked my computer virus protection and there was no threat, so I'm not sure why I was locked out? Lol, was it something I said?!?!

There is no way you would be banned for just writing about a diabetic kitteh. So not sure why that happened. Although we did have some hackers post a bunch of chinese messages, maybe that was a week ago. So if they blocked their regional IP, that could have encompassed your IP somehow.

Glad to see that Tucker made it back to the blues - 8.5 (US 153). Some cats are hard to regulate, and they bounce around. That may apply to Tucker long term.

Nah, I was just joking. I've had that happen a couple of times though. Just when I go to log on and I get a message saying "security alert" and to refresh and log back in, but it won't let me log back in for a period of time. I would have texted Bron if I had come home to find him in strife, but since he was fine I just went to bed and tried to log back in the next morning. I don't think Tucker really bounced this time--because I knew I had to go out to coach I left him several bowls of food, a kitty scavenger hunt of carbs to make sure he was ok when I got home. I didn't mind the higher numbers because i figured I had played havoc with his little system. He's all good now, acting normal and his numbers seem to be back in his normal range again.

Glad to hear Tucker is doing well with his bounces.

In the past 3-4 months there have been several spammers on FDMB. Always the same stuff - a bunch of Chinese messages. It is possible the FDMB forum admin has been blocking by IP. So that could explain the multiple lockouts you saw. Or it could be aliens...just saying.:woot:
