Hello all, I am Angie, mom to many, but for my purposes here, mom to Millhouse. I put most of his info in my signature, so I guess I really just want to say "Hi!" and to thank everyone up to this point and in advance for the help I've been given. This forum is amazing and I hope to be able to do right my buddy and help him feel better. I've just started testing and he seems to really hate it less than he did at the beginning. The tuna helps. His numbers are very high and I'm really nervous. The syringes I'm using (BD 3/10mL 12.7mm 30g) do not appear have .5 unit markings, so even with my cheaters on, I worry I'm pulling the right amount. I'm sure I'll be a regular here, because there is so much information available and people that are willing to help :)

Welcome! You should get some syringes with half unit markings. It really helps.

Hi Angie and extra sweet Millhouse! The key is being consistent with doses. Doesn't really matter if it's exactly .5 units or .25 units, there's no 'dosing police'...just as long as each one is the same. You can call it what you want to call it...

I agree that getting the syringes with the half unit marks will help a lot, but in the mean time a suggest you use a "pattern" what I did is make marks on a piece of paper for 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25,1.5 etc, so that I could compare my syringe each time with those marks that way I knew I was consistent, I placed the paper on the fridge ( I shooted at the kitchen ) because I found it easier to compare my syringe to the marks if they were placed vertical

I did try to order some, but they want a rX, so I need to follow through, contact my vet, and get those delivered.

Just give them your vets info. They will call them and confirm the prescription
