OK so I have been through the food chart, most of them are pretty expensive. I am looking into reeling in this cost of having a sugar cat. I have been feeding daves cat food, but at the cost of $1.60 per 5 ounce can I’m looking to downgrade cost. Jackson likes pate as he eats with his tongue and not with his teeth. I don’t know is anyone using a lower-cost cat food for sugar cats? Looking to go a dollar or less per can.

Thanks in advance for any help .

A lot of people feed Friskies pates or Fancy Feast Classics, which are a lot more affordable than Daves (especially if you catch them when they're on sale and stock up)

Special Kitty pates at WalMart are even cheaper and still low carb enough for sugarcats.

I am transitioning to FF pates and they seem to like it. Cost is pretty comparable to what you’re paying now.
