    Yesterday

This high yellow numbers are getting to me. I leave in 7 days, do I just leave him at .5u or do a rush an increase to .75 and then drop him back to .5 when I go? Or just leave him where he is at for now, don't upset the apple cart and worry about it when I get back? That is 17 more days on this dose.

Working on day 9 of the poop department working as per normal. Going to anti-jinx that as DH did not give him his Sulcrate yesterday as he didn't want to open his mouth.

Vines for all in need today.

Jones' message for today. I think everyone here knows this one!

    5. THEY REDUCE STRESS AND ANXIETY
Having a cat around you can actually trigger the release of calming chemicals in your body which lower your stress and anxiety leves. Cats are known for being super low-maintencance and a simple petting session is usually enough to make both you and your cat happy.

I wonder if it works the other way around, too? If we lower our stress and anxiety levels by petting cats, does it work the same for them... being petted lower their stress and anxiety levels? I'm pondering this because I have been very busy this week and haven't had a chance to relax on the couch with the cats and my civvie Keena is acting out like he's upset with me. :bookworm:

Could be. Keena might be looking for attention.

Regarding your quote "super low maintenance" Ha! How do I get one of those cats? ??????? Even my civvies aren't low maintenance. Very medium maintenance.

Good question! Jones used to be, then he wasn't. Rain has never been low maintenance - she needs to be cuddled every day. Libby needs food...all the time. Missy is pretty low maintenance but she is a wild child!

For Jones that holds true. If he isn't feeling well or at the vets, he wants up and high on the shoulder.

Since you saw a 103 a couple of days ago, you may want to hold the dose and not upset things.

I think it calms both cats and people.

I thought the same thing when I read that! Even when they don't have medical issues, they sure like to my full attention.
