My cat's BG is going down really well and this morning it was at 3.9 mmol/L so I didn't dose him and two hours after eating it was 9.5 and two hours later it went down a bit to 9.1 so I really wanted to see how he was doing at his PMPS this evening having had no insulin this morning, but he got into the greenhouse and ate some dried kitten food which was in there and at the latest count his BG was at 21.0mmol/L.
So I wonder how much to dose him tonight, because he will be much higher than he should be although it won't be

I would be very grateful if an experienced eye could give me some thoughts. Thank you.

Morning Pat! So sorry no one happened to get to you yesterday! It's been a busy time for everyone lately. Looks like William is doing amazing lately! Those greens are beautiful! As for last night, I think you gave a good dose. Those kitties will eat whatever they can find, won't they!

He might stay a bit high for a day or two while he works through whatever he ate. I see he came down over 100 points this morning, which is good...means he's coming off of what he ate. Did you not give him a dose at all this morning?

I did, but I wasn't sure what to give him as he was still so high. I gave him 0.75 but I just hope that if he comes a lot lower today that I don't send him to hypo numbers again. He's very good at those!! Knowing what to dose isn't my strong point worse luck, but I think I'm gradually getting the hang of it. Hopefully!

Can't believe that he got hold of those cat biscuits. They were under lock and key in the greenhouse. I suppose that where there's a will, there's a way:cat:I'm so gutted because he just seemed to be coming on nicely. Oh well:rolleyes:
