    Good morning!
    AMPS 284 shooting 3.5u
This should be a bounce of epic proportions

Boomer didn't eat anything from his auto feeder last night. Something woke me at 3:00 so I decided to check....nothing had been eaten (he did eat most of his +3 before our bedtime) so I gave him a fresh plate of food (which he devoured) and tested him....+9 178.

He did sleep with me again last night:bighug::cat:

Today on the agenda.....well DH is golfing this morning so I'm at home with Boomer. Weather network says it's supposed to be sunny until noon, meanwhile it's very cloudy out.

Yesterday I happened to look out our bedroom window and saw something large fly. I ran for my camera and as quietly as possible went out the door. And saw this......I've been told it's a juvenile Cooper's Hawk molting into its adult feathers.

WOWWWWW! Great shot of the hawk! I've seen a few - eyeing our bird feeder - but they're so fast - and never a view like that! Beautiful!

Hope Boom's comes down today. Have a great day Judy!

I hope Boomer clears the bounce soon. Nice numbers yesterday. Great shot of the hawk.

    Wow that shot!
I have one, not nearly that good, of a blackbird with a claw full of Red-Tailed Hawk feathers. And it's not just the blackbirds that are territorial.....I've seen hawks being chased by 3 or 4 different kinds of birds all at once!

I find Mowgli eats much less at night, but for Boomer... I have a feeling he likes the hands on feeding approach ;) little prince :p

So at +4.5 Boomer got out of his box, walked to his dish, and stared at it (obviously willing it to automatically produce some food). So I thought I'd grab a test.....+4.5 86 :D
Guess he's not ready for that epic bounce quite yet!

This cat is going to be the death of me. Despite food at +4.5, at +6 he is 38. And he was laying on the bathroom mat not acting hungry or, well anything except tired
He just earned a reducie but we've done this over and over again and he fails it every time.
@Wendy&Neko do you have any advice for me?

Do you take the "3 drops below 50" approach for his reducies since he's a long term diabetic? Admittedly I'm a little rusty, but if I recall correctly, I think some folks with long-term diabetics who monitor closely like you do go with "3 drops below 40", especially when a kitty repeatedly fails reductions. However, I would like someone else to confirm that to be true!

It is highly recommended to take the reduction below 40. I wouldn’t wait for three drops below 40, too easy for the depot to get too overfull and give you a real fight. Especially if this is glucose toxicity breaking. What I would suggest, is trying to prevent reductions by giving him a little more food, or slightly higher carb food when you see those steep drops early in the cycle. For any lurkers, a suggestion for Judy and Boomer only.

Awesome hawk shot! He/she is showing off.

Amazing photo! We had a hawk take out a dove one day near the bird feeder. It happened so fast and we caught it just as it happened. Hawk nailed the dove and then took off with it. All that was left were some feathers in the grass.

No need to be so dramatic Boomer!
