I know it's not normal for non-diabetic questions but if anyone can help guide me, I'd be most grateful.

It's been 6 years since I was last on here with my 16 yo cat, Budbud. Thanks to the help here, she lived to 20!

I have a 3yo kitten, Gracie. I don't know if it's because of my experience with Budbud but I worry sometimes when she's sleeping a lot or seems lethargic. I also worry when she sheds a lot.. that's how it started with Bud.

So, today I tested her. Just now, she tested 62 on Relion meter. She's feed 2x a day with low carb wet and either canned tuna or chicken. She's finicky.

Is there info on here about what's 'normal' for non-diabetic? Should I go back to keeping a chart and testing her several times a day?

Gracie was a lifesaver after Bud ... I depend so much on her.

That's a fine number for Gracie. Normal. My civvie was only 45 when I tested her with a Relion Micro. You have to remember human meters are going to be a bit lower. From my experience using both a Relion and Alphatrack at the same time (and readings at the vets)- Katie's numbers run in 50's & 60's on the Relion, it's about 80-100 on the Alphatrack.
She's great, don't worry! For further reference, I believe between 50-120 on Relion is normal.
    Hugs to Gracie.

Your very welcome. I know what it's like to worry. I will always worry about diabetes in any cat after this (not that I will be getting any more kitties). I had a kitty that had CKD years ago, so with my girls now, I always worry about their kidneys and look for the signs. You never forget.

And I'm getting Gracie a kitten next week! LOL
I guess I'm nuts but I really want her to have someone like her. The 2 dogs have each other, after all!
So, the only time I really need to worry is if she's below 50, above 120, or won't wake up?

I wouldnt even worry about below 50, unless it was like really super low. Like I said, my Anabelle was 45.
From what I have read, besides insulin in diabetes, only pretty serious conditions (liver disease, cancer, poisons, bad infections, etc) can cause low BG in cats, and she would surely have other symptoms.
Good luck with the kitten, I hope they take to each immediately. If not, be patient, when I brought kitten Katie home, it took Anabelle a couple months to come around. I had to separate them at first. Now they love each other, sleep together, groom each other.

I have a civvie that routinely tests in the 30's

As long as there's no insulin involved and the cat is acting otherwise normal, it can be totally fine to run low
