Lancet size?

I’m running out and I can’t remember which size to get. Or if there even is a size? I don’t have my old box

 

25 to 28 gauge is what we usually recommend. You can get them at WalMart or any pharmacy (but not all brands list the gauge on the outside of the box so you may have to do some searching)..Usually the ones marked for "alternate site testing" are the larger ones.

I never remember the size but do remember the color. As I always buy from Walmart, I get the 100 ct. pack of the beige colored ones and the gauge is 26.

Hi! That's what I had been using for a few days on Quincy. Unfortunately, as easy as they are, they pierced right through his ear each and every time. I stopped using them but they are so much easier than just a normal lancet.

 

I pierced China's ears so many times that I joked that I should buy her a pair of diamond stud earrings!
As you get more practice, you learn how to do it without going all the way through (although it'll still happen occasionally!)
