I've been looking around for more food options for Diane, and her non-diabetic siblings.

I saw Tiny Tiger on Chewy's website and it seems to be a reasonable price. According to the Q&A, chewy says that the carb levels are as follows:

    Beef- 2%
    Turkey- 1.5%
    Chicken- 2.3%

They're 3 oz cans and the 24 pack is only just over $12! This seems like SUCH a good deal, but I'm always cautious of trying new foods.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Yes, it's low carb but none of my cats thought much of it.....but that doesn't mean yours won't like it!

It's worth a try! If they don't like it, Chewy will refund your money so you can buy something else and tell you to donate whatever is left over so it's a win-win situation!

My two cats like it. They eat Fancy Feast as well as Dr. Esley's clean protein Chicken dry. I'd buy the Tiny Tiger again.

I too use Dr Elseys clean protein dry cat food. It is amazing and my cat has been in remission for 5 months now. She also eats pates. Few know there is FINALLY a dry with nearly no carbs. I try and spread the word when possible.

Mine liked Tiny Tiger. And it was a great deal. But I didn’t like it due to quality control issues. Now this was when it first came available, so they may have improved since then.

Just found this thread while searching for Tiny Tiger. Beebo (in remission) loves Tiki Cat but shes a 13lb cat so feeding that exclusively is frighteningly expensive. I’m thinking of “cutting” it with something cheaper that is still good quality. Also might consider getting Elsey’s dry food in an auto-feeder for her 5am hanrgy yowls. Any thoughts on this idea or a similar plan to reduce food costs?

My cat only eats about 1/3 cup of Dr. Elsey's per day (very high in calories, put weight on my kitty, but he needed it), yet somehow we also go through it like crazy. I feel like I'm constantly buying it. If you get it on Amazon, and do subscribe and save (I'm not sure if you need multiple subscribe and save to unlock the 20% savings...but I have a way to get around that;)) it's considerably less, like $32 I think for a 6.6lb bag instead of $45 (or something like that). I get one 6.6lb bag and one 2lb bag sent per month. But I will say when I was exclusively purchasing the 2lb bag, both times they accidentally sent me the 6.6lb...I don't think I'll ever get that lucky again in my life!

I should mention I have two more cats, so that very well may be why we go through it so quickly. And I'm not sure about calorie count in TikiCat but there is like 530 per cup in Dr. Elsey's, so something to keep in mind. I could never exclusively feed him that alone, he'd get too fat.
