I hope all my US friends had a happy thanksgiving, and I hope all my Canadian friends enjoyed the day. I am greatful for you all. Yoshi spreadsheet is updated since the holiday. I didn’t get time to test mid evening cycle while I was at my parents. I took a +3 or +4 and knew where the night was going and I left him some low-carb food and satisfied his cravings when he would knock over trinkets and/or try to kill me. I took him to the vet to see if he had a UTI. Negative. He was really high this pmps and drank a lot of water which he hasn’t in a while. I gave him his shot. But I’m thinking and I’m wondering if I’m doing it wrong. There are times when I make a tent and I feel like I’m going through two to three layers of skin. Then there are other times where I’m going through kind of a really superficial layer it feels like maybe one or two layers of skin. Does this make a difference?
@Wendy&Neko the main point of this post was to ask if I should hold 5.5 after the fur shot yesterday? Do I restart the depot? We were also traveling and my mom has a larger house than me = potato chip crumb access on the floor. And he went to the vet. His BG could be raised for a lot of reasons.
Since you are doing TR, the cycle count starts over if you stall, skip, give a fur shot. So the 5.5u dose cycle count started over last night. Did you give 5.5u this morning as there is no dose in the “U” column. This post on Testing and Shooting Tips might help. I always found rolling instead of tenting to be a better method to give shots correctly consistently.
I hope you had a good Thanksgiving with your family. Here is a post on Counting Cycles. As Marje said, the count restarts. Tonight is cycle three and you need to have six before you increase. I found the roll method of shooting more consistent too,
Nice he popped a yellow for you tonight. Hope now that he's not following the potato chip crumb trail that he will slide back down. I too liked to roll.
I have to search for a video on rolling. A member posted a photo a while ago but I need more of a guide. The vet also said Yoshi was overweight (16.5 lbs) and that could be contributing to all this. I remember when he first went into remission I was really cautious about his diet. he only got 2 1/2 cans of fancy feast a day, and I only gave him whitefish. Since then I realized fish should only be given once and a while. Now I don’t even count I think it’s about three or 3 3.5 cans
