Good point, Wendy. With not seeing much movement out of the yellows, I thought I should start thinking 'out of the box' as the possible reason behind it. Maybe the reason is that Freckles just needs more insulin to break her out of the yellow cycle.

I'm thinking that with her numbers staying flat that her pancreas is working alright?

I ordered some new cat toys too. Maybe some exercise will help get things moving?

She is flat yellow. I hope y'all can figure out if it's the dose or some other factor keeping her up. Come down to the beach Freckles...maybe dip your toesies in the lagoon for a bit. The sand is warm and the water is refreshing!!!:D
I hope you have a great day Judy!!!

Flat numbers just means you haven’t hit a good dose yet. Exercise can help lower the BG and is a good way to bond.

I'm sure Freckles will love the new toys. I hope you see some lower numbers soon.

We used to have a member here who would play with her kitty, Curry, for about 30 minutes prior to PS and her BG always came down. I tried it with Gracie and it didn’t always make a difference. Occasionally it did. But we still had great fun!!! As Wendy said, it’s a great way to bond if nothing else.

I also agree that she’s flat yellow because the dose isn’t the right one yet. Her pancreas isn’t working. If it was, you’d see a drop in numbers.

I guess I should have said her pancreas isn't working 100% but is still functioning some? If it wasn't functioning at all, wouldn't her numbers be sky high when the insulin shot wore off?

The dog is the one addicted to the laser toy! lol Freckles has never been one for playing much. I will have to lock up the other critters just for Freckles to have play time.

Truth is our Border Collie had some serious OCD, the laser was for her. Now Double-Wide (Lewis) is into it.

Yup.... ours is a Border Collie too! :) The older BC doesn't want anything to do with the laser when the younger one is playing. Older one leaves the room! lol

I doubt it. If her pancreas was working, you’d see the BG drop more than meter variance three hours after she eats.
