Yesterday Good morning! I hope all the kitties are not too tired after the Full Cold Moon pawty last night! Leo said he had an amazing time eating great food and dancing the night away with all his friends! He also says “Thank you so much Chef Felix for hosting such a magical night!!” @Susan&Felix I increased Leo’s dose last night, we’re up to 5.13 units now. I hope this is the “one” that will bring him into low greens. It’s a balmy 18 degrees and sunny! Be kind to your beans kitties and stay safe, they love you a lot! Have a great day all!
Oh my goodness Sonia! I had thought you had a typo there for dose, so I checked your SS. I've apparently been under a rock lately, so I hadn't noticed Leo's dose had gotten so high! I'm hoping this dose is the one that cracks the code. It's crazy how for all those increases Leo still loves that blue/green surf for the most part. I think we're supposed to be above the donut today at least, so I'll count that as a win! It's too early to be so cold! I hope you both have a wonderful day!!
Looking pretty blue Leo! Work that new dose for mom! I hope you have a wonderful day Sonia! Stay warm
Let's go Leo !! What a nice gift you got from mamma last night! Show her how much you like it! Have a great cool day Sonia!
When I read "18 degrees...." I thought....gee must be nice I'm flipping freezing here. Then I had that "wait a minute....." moment lol knowing you don't live all that far away from me. The light finally did come on Good luck with the dosecrease!
Oh Leo! If it were me, I’d take him to 5.25. The 4.88 barely got him into high greens. If you can monitor , next cycle, I’d go for 5.25 and see if you can get the whole cycle down . There is wiggle room and with this being his second time on insulin , it gets harder. The more time he can spend in all green numbers the faster he can start earning reductions. You test enough to be a bit more aggressive than a kitty on his first time on insulin. ( this advice is only for Sonia and her kitty and circumstance). JMHO.
Balmy 18...brrrrrr... Hope the increase is enough to take him back to the lagoon to surf the day away! Come on sweet Leo - work that juice! Have a great evening Sonia!
I agree, he seems to be quite resistant. Unless he shows some major improvement today, I will bring him up to 5.25 tonight. I hope this light’s a fire under his furry butt! Thank you. Give Bubba a head scratch, he’s looking really good!
Sonia, I'm a bit slow ...just now realizing Leo was in remission as well before relapse ..... we were in remission for over 2 years and this time is different what With different insulin and Elmo's incredible hobby of bouncing ... like a whole different FD dance .... sending specific re remission prayers to you snd Leo ❤️
Thank you so much Beth. Ya, the last time was so easy compared to this time. Last time, he turned a corner at one point and all I did was reduce once a week and presto he was in remission! It only lasted 7 months though, so this time will be forever right? I'm sure I read that in a sticky! LOL, eternal optimist, I am! Give Elmo a big squishy hug from us and have yourself a beautiful day!
HA! I just checked your SS AND looks like Leo is busy on the forum reading his thread. Yeah for bumping down , good boy Leo! With him being a long term diabetic you won’t reduce until he drops below 40. Hold tight. Good boy Leo. I love the way you like to prove me wrong.
