Yesterday. Caber Yr 2. Day 136

Dreary day. Was going to go for drive to find her vets new office, maybe tomorrow when it's suppose to be nicer. She is a chow hound again this morning.

Going to look for dmannose and bowls for feeder. The little dishes she has trouble with. She pushes the food off it and it all goes down into the compartment, then she can't get it. I have a set (10 pcs) of nesting glass bowls, one fits perfect and she can eat well out of it, so going to Google brand and see if I can find it.

    Good day to all.

I hope Ollie slides down and surfs for you today. Good luck on the bowl hunt.

It's really hard to find bowls that work well in the feeder compartments. Good luck! Do you have a china "close-outs" store near you? I have had luck in the Fish's Eddy store in NYC--discontinued restaurant china. I pick through the bins.

    Enjoy your fuds, Olive!

Found the same bowls. Ordered them. As well as dmannose, syringes, and new litter box.

Dosecrease given a cycle early. Vet called with UA report. Infection gone but has 3+ blood and since it was a clean catch she wants to do ultrasound to make sure there are no stones or anything else. Ollie always had +1 blood but it was always believed to be because sample was by cysto.

Results are also by Antech instead of IDEXX. Guess this doctor didn't know Ollie's always goes to IDEXX. At bottom of report it mentions Renal Tech Index is high and says CKD is likely to happen in next 24 months. So I looked this up and found the site which has the stages and their indicators. Ollie has some Stage 1 and some Stage 2 indicators. Guess I need to speak with her vet when she gets her new practice opened this month and come up with plan. The Dr we see right now isn't familiar with Ollie at all and keeps trying to get me to use Rx food.

Going to the vet is hard work! Hope she takes inspiration from the green.

I am curious about the Renal Tech Index. Haven't seen it before. Looks like it's a precursor to releasing SDMA capability. Acro can be hard on kidneys, it's common to have some kidney issues. Good thing to catch it early.

My cat's profiles have said the same thing regarding his Renal Index since he was diagnosed. My vet seemed to think some of it has to do with the levels of glucose and the creatinine levels. but I am not really sure what markers they use for that " prediction"
