I've been thinking about Walter! I've been so busy this week...I haven't been visiting as many condos as I'd like.

I hope you and Walter are doing okay now.

Zelda did you ever say what happened while you were away with the incident of the low numbers that resulted in an ER visit due to hypo? I mentioned it to @Sarah and Blaze - but I don't recall seeing the details...of course I haven't seen your condo in a week or so...I apologize for that.

Walter, you need to get down from there! That's not a good color for you little one! Looks like your mama has given you some more insulin - now you get to work and make that juice work for you!

Take care Zelda and have a good evening!

Hi Sue— thanks for your message. I think the visit to the ER might have been an overreaction by the sitter but better safe than sorry. The day before I left, Walter’s numbers started to (finally) get into a good range. However, he dipped ( I think it was to 71) on the first evening that I was away and the sitter, understandably, panicked, and took him to the ER.
These current high numbers are troubling but I’m hoping that he’ll level off with the dose increase.

Thanks for the follow up...I'm glad it was just an over reaction! Better safe than sorry...and understandable for the pet sitter - they just don't know how to handle those lower numbers - look at everything you've learned in such a short time! :)

Yes, I too hope Walter gets with the program with that last increase. He just needs a little time and encouragement from his mama to get back on the rails. We'll be rooting for him!
