Tuesday's Condo Good Morning everyone! I contacted the vet yesterday about Luci's foot and here's what he said 'The muscles atrophy and become weak. Let's give her time. It will take time for the strength to return'. I'm really glad he's being conservative. We're going to relax and give her some time to figure it out...her foot looks fine...and she seems to feel wonderful otherwise - she stretches and rolls over on her back in a come hither pose and I'll bite you if you attempt to touch my belly! Her numbers are impressive of late - she seems to be enjoying some good days in the lagoon - so apparently she's not in pain or stressed about it - at least not as much as we humans.. She was purring for the AMPS Yesterday was a busy day at work...let's hope today is calmer. A muggy warm start to the day here in SW Florida... I hope you all have a pleasant day and that your kitties behave and surf safely.
I'm glad the vet is being conservative. I hope Luci's paw strengthens quickly. Nice on the purrs this morning. Sending prayers.
Good morning Sue and Luci! Glad the foot is healing! Hey, what about some physical therapy for her? Wonder if there is some exercises you could do with her to build the muscles up ?
Nice to hear that the Vet listens to you and is giving her foot more time to heal. I hope Luci starts using her paw more and is getting stronger. Have a good day at work, hope it is calmer for you
I bet the foot feels very strange to Luci after so many weeks in the cast. I'm glad the vet is going to give it some time.
Happy to hear Luci is feeling GOOD! I hope each day she takes "baby steps" till she's tearing around the house ,her usual self!
