Good morning.

Mikan has been on this dose for 2 weeks. She has been flatty in the past 2 days - I am starting to think about the covert operation. I will see how she does today.

Good morning, Kit, I hear ya. Just did the covert thing myself due to flatty cycles.
There goes any sleep for me and I have to entertain family tomorrow for dinner. So must cook today and tomorrow to prep. (Dread the work due to no energy and probably no sleep tonight).
Hope Mikan shakes it to today so you don’t have to do “anything”. Shhhh.

Boy you have such a busy weekend ahead. So sorry - I totally understand. The cumulative effect of sleep deprivation can just get you badly!
I have my DH's daughter coming for dinner - she is vegetarian who doesn't do eggs and milk. DH is a meat eating animal. What to do with the menu?
At least, dessert is now in the oven, strawberry-white chocolate cake.
Staci, we work during the weekdays and I LABOR on weekends
Hope Ivy will work the juice kindly for you. Have a nice day - some day, we will have the weekend OUR WAY!

 

Oh Kit, you know exactly what I mean. I’m sorry you are having the same issues I am. It is so hard.
Work all week, barely sleep to take care of Ivy. Put dinner on the table every night.
Then somehow be ready to “party” on the weekend. (Sigh, not possible)
No wonder I fall asleep each night between +1,2,3 for 10-15 minute catnaps. (DH keeps waking me up to tell me I’m sleeping. Really???)


I hope all goes well for you and you can get a bit of rest, too

 

See what she does tonight. If no nice greens (50-80) then I'm throwing the threat out there

I hope you get a chance to do some relaxing today. That whole grind of being the person who works all day and is also responsible for dinner (and groceries, and cleaning, and managing basically life) is so overwhelming. It's one of the reasons I haven't left my current job - those two months in the summer that I'm off contract give me a chance to maybe recuperate a bit (and I know I'm super privileged in that way).

 

I can hear it!

I'm learning to cut corners and to be okay with below my standard. Life goes on!
It's a constant struggle though, between wanting to do everything and time/energy limit!

Mikan continues to go flat - I'm planning on upping it tomorrow AM to 3.25U.

Thanks also for the recipes! They all look great! I'll make a note of them. I just saw them and I've already started to cook lentil cacciatore - with carrots, red pepper, and mushrooms.
But I'll try one of those three, I love the idea of zuke/tomato, but I also love broccoli pasta. Mmmmmm. Will be a hard choice!

The cake came out awesome (already tasted some, hee hee). Now back to the kitchen

I'm glad that you're having more grace with yourself. It took me a really long time to be okay with not having everything perfect, and while there are a great many things I should be working on changing, having everything perfect isn't one of my (constant) struggles. Only occasional.

 

Good luck with the increase tomorrow, What you have started cooking sounds delicious, and leave thar cake alone
