PARTY FOR BigMac TODAY!!!

This party is a little different since it is for my own kitty. ohmygod_smile
As many of you know, he originally went OTJ back in December of 2008 with his official party day being New Year's Day of 2009. He was doing fine until April of this year when he tested in the 300s. He needed insulin again and I was expecting him to have to stay on it ... perhaps indefinitely. He's not getting any younger and neither is his pancreas. But to my joy and amazement he managed to go into remission once again. I let him have a 3 week OTJ trial to make sure it was for real.

BigMac's original video was lost when Photobucket discontinued their remix service a few years ago. Normally kitties don't get two OTJ videos... in case you were wondering. :lol: In this version I omitted some of the usual format so I could include some current kitties. I wanted to include more kitties that have not gone OTJ and don't get to be in many of the videos. I searched the website, your posts, and various other places to steal your photos... if I missed your kitty, it is because I exhausted all sources. Next time I should just ask you, huh? (Those little avatar photos won't work in a video.)

The OTJ videos have always had a special spot in my heart and I am so happy that BigMac has a second special video to mark his return trip to the beautiful falls. The baby pictures made my heart burst. Absolutely precious!!! Them eyes must have spoken to you the moment you saw them. Loved the music too. BigMac and I thank you all so very much for helping us celebrate his success... much of which is pure luck.
I know I didn't post his daily numbers during his current 4 months on insulin ... we were stealth condo renters... sneaking in after dark. :lol:
But I love being here and visiting with everyone as much as I can... BigMac falling off his wagon didn't make any difference in that. But sharing the happiness sure is fun!

I'm still exhausted from doing a weird polka with the neighbors but I want to say I am very happy to be among so many friends and that you enjoyed our little video.

I was so honored to see Boomer and then to have his name listed. What a surprise. I'm still crying. And to see the other GA's too...and knowing their Beans probably feel like I do. OMG.

Big Mac is GORGEOUS! And SO photogenic.

Who is his sibling? I didn't know about him/her.

 

OMG. I'm so bad. His sibling is Cappi, short for Capellini (Angel Hair).
They are funny together because originally she was the alpha kitty until he kept growing and growing. Now because of his size she defers to him, but he doesn't seem to realize it. He is still a gentle goofy guy who wants to play and she wants to bop him on the head. :lol:
