check out Eddie's numbers this morning

I am surprised and pleased. hope it sticks. The only thing I did differently was he had a slightly larger bed time meal because he didn't finish his dinner and I got up and fed him at 6am when his inceassant meowing began. Checked his glucose and it was normal for the first time fasting.

However, meowing/yowling Eddie continued to make noise until the whole family was awake following me feeding him. The other kitty went outside, came back in, ate then went back to bed. How I wish Eddie would do this.

Any suggestions, besides a tranquilizer dart to get Eddie to SHUT UP after he eats would be much appreciated.

 

Eddie has some really good #s. What insulin are you using?

As for advice on keeping him quite....maybe a cat muzzle (jk) :lol: ??? confused_cat

Eddie was on Lantus but has not had any insulin since last week. We are now on day 6 of no insulin.

Believe me, I have considered a muzzle. Dh put him downstairs this moring (3 doors between him and us) and it took about 10 minutes before he started howling. When he howls he sounds like an angry cow. If I put him outside, he would wake the neighbours.

 

Please get the vid out and film him when he is howling, I've never heard an angry cow! :razz:

Congratulations on going so long without insulin. I will be keeping my paws crossed Eddie will continue on this path. I hope you are considering a OTJ party.
What is his diet?

 

Eddie howling is not pretty, the sound is rather disturbing.

He is eating merick canned low carb food with the occasional bit of low carb dry (not daily).

Next in his new health regime is fat camp. Eddie weighs in at 19 pounds. He has the figure of a seal. Going to head to Lee Valley tools for a luggage scale. Great idea. thatnks to the person who suggested that.

Eddie's numbers were in the green all day yeasterday! Still look good today.6 this am and 3.9 one hour later. Go Eddie! (just stop meowing about it)
