awwwwww Lynda. i don't know what to say. I know how hard this decision was for you to make. you tried so hard but you know you did what was best for the puffer. you did not let him suffer. we all want our babies with us forever.he could not have been loved more and will always be with you and a lot of us.

(((Lynda))) I am so very sorry. You were the perfect mom to Scruffy and there is no one who could have loved, honored and taken care of him as well as you. It is one year ago today that my own little man Tucker passed to the Bridge. I imagine the two of them are up there right now telling stories about us and smiling down sending their love to you in the hopes that it will bring you some comfort.

You, along with Scruffy were the inspiration, mentor, guide, cheering section, and comic relief for when I was a confused and worried newbie back in 2008. You always had an encouraging word, helpful advice, and funny cartoon for me just when I needed them most.

Scruffy and BigMac were kindred kitties in temperament as well as looks. It pains me so much to know of the huge hole in your heart where Scruffy once lived. I am so terribly sorry that he couldn't live forever. Somehow I thought he would.

BigMac says thank you for the hamburger icon you sent us way back in 2008, it has been his avatar ever since. It makes me smile and always think of you and your kindness.

((Lynda)) I posted a long note to you this afternoon - or at least I wrote it but was very upset when I did so and not sure now where it went - it's just not here.

So I'll say again how my heart hurts with yours right now - and the tears fall with yours right now - you were on my mind all afternoon as I watched the clock and I so wished there were something I could do to help.

Handsome, beautiful Scruffy is indeed a board legend - he fought such a long war and won so many battles - he has been (and you have been) such an inspiration to us all. The love you have shared is monumental and certainly a huge part of that will remain with you forever.

Big scritches to the ones left behind - am sure Milk will miss his buddy terribly and will try to comfort you.

There never really is enough time with them - but we are so grateful for having had them with us. I'm hoping that soon the happy memories and the tremendous love you shared will heal the hurt in your heart and will bring a smile to your lips even as you grieve for your sweet buddy.

There must have been such a welcoming group at the Bridge today for him - so many were waiting to greet him.

We share your grief - we will never forget the big guy - we loved him also.

And we love you.

Little fluffy ScruffyPumpkinPattyPaws, you have been through so much and conquered it all. You have been an inspiration and friend to me and Simba. And you too, mama been Lynda that have taken care of Scruffy every step on the way, in sickness and in health, in sunshine and rain.

What does exist and keeps beating is your heart and your love. Love endures. And so does Scruffy's. He will always own his own sun spot in your heart. Always.

You will just know it one day when you suddenly smile thinking of him. Or one morning when you wake up and remember he visited your dreams. He'll always be a legend. Now he's immortal in so many hearts grieving with yours.

I'm sure Charlie was there to greet him and that they're chasing bugs and butterflies and sleeping in a cushy place in the sun, musing over how fortunate they were to be so greatly loved by their special persons on earth (and perhaps even conspiring to send us more kitties in the future?? Wait, is that you I hear yelping "noooooooo" from across the miles??!!? lol)

Lynda I did not get to experience your sweet kitty here on the forum but he sure was a looker and having made this difficult decision myself for a much loved boy I know how it feels and my heart aches for you.
