Carolyn, another great job on the video. That OTJ kitty song gets longer and longer every time I hear it. That's great! Because that means more OTJ kitties!

I can't watch the video until I get home tonight or I will just start bawling my head off at my desk. These people I work with already think I'm crazy enough as it is. That would push them over the edge!

Seriously though, thank you all so much for helping us thru this fight. There is absolutely no way we could do it with out all of the support, encouragement and hand-holding during my freak outs that we have found here. I truly believe that FDMB and everyone I've spoken with over the last 128 days saved Ruby's life.

Our vet told us that in very rare instances cats could become diet controlled but to not count on it because it probably wouldn't happen for us. I can't wait to gather up the massive amounts of data I've put together and drop it off at the office.

To everyone who is discouraged by how things are going for you and your kitties, just know that it is possible. It can happen. Its been a fight every minute of every day for the past 128 days, but WE DID IT! I know there is always the possibility that we might have to start over but for right now, we kicked its ass.

Again, thank you from the bottom of my and Ruby's hearts.

I've never heard of Buttermilk Pie. I might have to try making that one of these days.

You guys worked so hard to get to the falls and you did it. Here's hoping you manage to convince your vet to give other kitties a chance. And thanks for the words of encouragement. Some of us still in the trenches need those once in a while.

 

She's actually very supportive of home testing, she just isn't the most optimistic when it comes to remission.

 

you can tell her that we see proof of remission every week or so here!

congratulations a million times over, amy! you've been the hardest worker-bee in the trenches ever and ruby sure gave you a run for it! :lol: she didn't want to be too easy, i guess! you deserve the honeymoon - may it last forever for you and ruby!

LOVE the video, of course! the pic at the end in the paper bag is the most adorable picture ever - and every time i look through all the OTJ kitty pictures, and i notice the kitties throughout. i saw a hamburger in there! ;-)

CD - thanks for the gift of time and caring in making these! they mean a lot to everyone, and we know you don't just whip them out in 10 minutes!

eta: good grief - i almost forgot the wooties! they'd have given me a terrible amount of grief if i didn't take them to ruby's party! :lol:

 

She was really young in the pic with the paper bag. That was probably only a year or so after I adopted her so she might have been 2-ish at the time. Looking at it and the picture of her peeking from under the Christmas tree skirt, you see how much she likes to snooze in dark little places.

I sent the video to the husband to pre-view for me and he said it would definitely make me cry if I watched it now. I can't wait to watch it when I get home.

I'm so excited that this day is finally here for you guys! You worked your butt off and you deserve an AMAZING life at the Falls. We've had drastically different Lantus journeys and I'm glad one of us made it to remission so quick! Gives me hope that switching to Lantus was one of the better things I did for Morlei. Make sure to stop by from time to time, I love seeing Ruby's cute little face pop up in my convos!!
