Has anyone switched from Lantus and is doing better on it?

Yes, I switched Musette from Lantus to Levemir and she is doing much better on the Lev, both numbers and personality wise. Her dose is greatly reduced, down from 1.25u on the Lantus to .3u on the Levemir.

George, I have two vials of lev in my fridge. Not sure if they are good or not, Mickey's numbers were wacked for the past few weeks so I opened a new pen. You are most welcome to the vials if you like.

Thanks Peggy I appreciate the offer. You're doing an amazing job with Mickey.

I'm thinking of switching Matilda first and then Andre' later.

George, I switched to lev , two months ago. I love it, because Checkers no longer has the steep drops, he had on Lantus.
That is not to say, his numbers are always low, it means he stays much flatter, even if he's high for some reason.

Thank you George! But I feel like I am beating my head against a brick wall. But at least we are stuck in the 200s not any higher.

Some cats thrive at that range. I have read that in several reports. We do what we can do.

I like to think we all have earned our "wings".
