    Yesterday's....dose decrease discussion

To recap yesterday.......we believe that it's best if Boomer has all greens prior to attempting the next dose decrease since he has failed it before after a week of good numbers which included some blue. Boomer came very close to having all greens for a solid week.....he was only one day away...but has had blue PS values since then right up to last night.
Yesterday at +9 I gave Boomer a slightly larger snack to see if it would stimulate his pancreas. And at PMPS he tested at 94 and then was 65 at +3. Now that's what I want to see! Was it the +9 meal? Who knows lol. But when I set up his auto feeder for last night I increased the amount of food in the +9. And....this morning I woke up at his +10 and immediately got up to check his feeder.....he had left some in the +9 so I picked it up.
AMPS will be in about 5 minutes

Oh almost green. A slight improvement on the last 3 days.
    AMPS 101 shooting .25u
It was suggested to me yesterday that I may want to fatten the dose in order to bring down his numbers a bit. Given that a) he had a green pre-shot last night and b)he was at 65 at +3 and c) he was soooo close to be green this morning and d) the upward trend to his numbers has stopped (at least for today), I'm going to take a wait and see approach.

She's still doing well. She's feeling good and her fur is still so soft. Thanks for asking.

I said to my husband "if I retested it could be green". Then "of course it could be bluer". I didn't bother retesting lol

It's really continuum so it's fair to think of that as a slightly bluish-green. :)

I hope your plan works well for you. Boomer seems to be doing so very well!

Boomer's +6 meal set up in auto timer. We have a couple of errands to run and I've finally convinced my husband to go for a ride to try to find a snowy owl! I've seen them for the last two winters although unfortunately they're always sitting in the middle of a snowy field instead of on a fencepost by the road so the photos I've been able to get aren't what I want to get!

I love Snowy Owls....actually owls in general. I think because I certainly don't see them very often. Last year a friend of mine had a Great Horned Owl nest across her street so I saw it with it's babies. That's it for owls in the wild....one Great Horned with babies and I think 4 snowy owls.
