Ti-Mousse had a long day yesterday, being LIME most of the afternoon.... It's always like that on 8.5u !!
Now I have to get him in greens without going up there; tweaking doses is probably the only way and being very patient....!!!

For sure he'll bounce a lot after those 30's; I gave him half a dose last night and a reducie this morning. He slept with me purring !:)

Nice sunny day, 27F.

Some scary BG yesterday :nailbiting:

Oh Lyane, I know your struggle all to well. If you reduce to much, you end up and over where you were. If you don't reduce enough, it's limes cycle after cycle. Hang in, your doing well.

Refresh my memory, I don't see anything in your signature, did you ever test for high dose conditions?

No I did not test!
I inquired for the cost of the procedure and it will be at least $1,000.! Bizarre but the cheapest part is the 2 MSU tests, autoantibody and IGF-1! All the rest is shipping and vet fees!!!
Right now, I have Pepe who's got cancer of the eye and will need his eye removed in February; surgery by the ophtalmo is around $2,000. !!

Unfortunately I can't do both at the same time; priority goes to Pepe, so cancer won't spread... Then, it will be Ti-Mousse unless he shows me it's not necessary...!! If he's positive which could be, I would probably go with Cabergoline. In the meantime, I try to keep him in as good numbers as possible. :)

That is a rip off. It's one blood draw and shipping which is minimal. Ollie's vet charged $250 and I thought that was to much. Vet already has the packaging mailer with prepaid label.

Did you ask why so much, since one test is $58 and other is $16 (I think).

Ti-Mousse!!!!! I think Ti slipped some of that lime-juice to Ming after he was done with it.

As for the tests, what if you inquired around different vet clinics and see their costs? $1000 is crazy!!!!!!!!!!

The MSU tests are the least expensive: about $125 Cdn for both tests, so very very affordable !!:) It's all the other suff being done in Quebec that is out of proportion! Shipping is the most expensive...around $500.,:woot: then it's all vet stuff... !:mad: They charge for everything...
Few months ago, to get a prescription which was already written and signed in my file they charged me $20. just to hand it to me and they made me wait a whole day !!

I remember reading a post of a girl from Montreal who said that testing again to see the evolution of her acro cat after treatment was way too pricey ....! Now I understand what she meant !!! I'll do it once, but not twice!

I wish I could take Ti-Mousse to my work and get those tests done. I only had to pay what IDEXX charged for the tests. I can't remember if we shipped out the sample ourselves or if IDEXX just did it for us after pick up... I'll find out for you and maybe you could find a vet clinic that does IDEXX pick ups.
