I really hope that's all it is! He's been doing so well, I hate to see him get "derailed". But he seems pretty happy today, so hopefully it is a passing thing caused by last night's food!If the food you gave him for dinner yesterday raised his numbers, they could possibly be a little higher this morning. I wouldn't worry about one number. He'll come back down.![]()

It's weird, I know, but I still have this knee-jerk reaction left over from when we were using Vetsulin; he'd be low for a week or so, then his numbers would inexplicably shoot up and I'd spend months chasing them, trying to get them back down. It was so frustrating and disappointing. You'd think I'd have gotten beyond that, it's never happened since he's been on Lantus!Perhaps "dawn phenomenon". Not to worry. Look at his later numbers.
Thanks, LagoonMeister Rusty! I bez tryin' hard to be a gud Deputy. I wuz keepin' my eye out wif da binoculars, gotta make sure no kitties getz too close to da sharkz!Lookin' good, Deputy Squallie. Good way to start the day at the lagoon, too: looking over the whole thing with the binoculars.

I'm so sorry to hear your Mom is ill, Carol. I know hospice can be a great help, they helped my family in the last week of my husband's battle with cancer. He is adorable - unfortunately, he's not eating this am, and blood sugar diving so he has gotten some karo syrup - I need to leave soon to go to the hospital to see my Mom (she was approved for hospice last night) Ugh - I need Murphy to behave for me
