PMPS=183 (retested after food/shot = 166)

I am not sure which number I believe. The first one didn't seem to have enough blood and when I retested he was a bit testy - hissing and growling (so unlike him) - he usually spends about 10 min cleaning himself after he eats so I was interrupting his routine.

So glad it is Friday!

I think there is some pain. Probably arthritis at work this morning. I was running late or I would have given him a bit of pain meds. I left him in his comfy spot on the back of the couch with CatTv playing so I hope he just takes it easy (doesn't he always :rolleyes:) and rests and feels better this evening. The numbers (I believe) are a bit of a bounce and higher because of pain.

Plan for food. I found some Organix Grain Free Chicken (and Turkey) Pate that I bought about a month ago to try. I am going to mix it up tonight and feed this weekend to test if he likes. If he does, this will likely become the new pate mix with the Fowl Ball. Fingers and toes crossed.

Can unused portions of cans be transferred to glass bowls and frozen? Does it deteriorate the quality? Change the taste at all?

It has alcohol in it - I didn't think you were supposed to give alcohol to cats? I could be wrong.

These are the two things I give to Gizmo:
Joint Purr-Fection Liquid
Pure Icelandic Fish Oil Liquid

I am going to talk with the vet about Adequan shots when I take him in for his blood work (sshhh). I am not sure how it affects the ckd so not sure if it will be a good fit.
Where did you find the Organix? Seems similar to the Wellness Turkey pate but lower phos.
PetCo (I believe).

The Wellness Complete Health Turkey (I haven't tried the Chicken) seemed to keep Gizmo (and Boomers) numbers high(er). I am going to try it again (maybe) but going to give the Organix a try first.

ETA - I just check Chewy and the Organix is available through them! YAY. Hope he like it.

That is interesting, Wellness CH Turkey is Bronx's main canned food. Will have to try a day or two w/o it and see if his #s improve.

Please let me know. It is so difficult to tell if it is food, arthritis pain, panc flare or just.being.a.cat. :D It happened twice with Gizmo. The first time I fed it (old formula? 04/09/17) he liked it and numbers were good. Then I got additional cans about a month later and he wouldn't dip into greens on it (formula change?). Look at my SS 05/01/17 and condo around that time also.

ECID so it may just be Gizmo - if my theory is correct about SEB - he is just sensitive to certain carbs and I suspect CH turkey may be one of them. Judy and I both contact Wellness and were "assured" there was no significant formula change (carbs) but it was too weird that both of us fed two different cats were having the same issue (good numbers until this food).

I have not tied the chicken yet.

I am interested to see how Rusty does on the new formula @Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA)

Chewy seems to have almost everything including all the cat litters & prices usually match Amazon, but a few dollars cheaper if you do autoship. Always arrives 2 days after I order.
I don't do auto ship. I will order from Chewy if I need litter or don't have an order already in the works with Amazon. Either one works for me - except litter from Amazon is $$ for shipping.

All fudz ate today. Not the FD morsels.

PMPS=130

History:
AMPS=183, +2=180

Sure wish I knew what this cycle was like.

Rusty rejected the new formula of Wellness (both the chicken and the turkey) when I first tried it on him. But on the second go-round he ate it (or, at least, some of it; Rusty is not food-motivated). I haven't noticed any effect on his numbers so far. The "old" Wellness Chicken and Wellness Turkey were foods he would always eat.

My son buys my yearly prime account for me - for my birthday lolol - He knows I have to order a lot of stuff around here for these animals.
With Chewy, my order is always big enough, I dont get shipping fees.
I dont do any auto-ships because I dont need to be paying for stuff I dont need and I dont want to have to keep up with changing auto-ship schedules, pain in the behind.

HI Lizzie!
Just dropping you a hello - been a busy week for me, no time to comment on other condos - so happy for the weekend to be here!
