07/04 - Small Kitty amps 351 - pmps 515 Insulin Still needed

All good things have an end, and this morning it is, back to work.

The low numbers honey moon is also loosing speed, purple this morning.
I tried to be as cool as I could when taking care of Small Kitty. Numbers
were better then before I left but never as low as when the care taker was
here. I start to realized that Small Kitty is less relax when testing. He shake
his head and it's hard to get a drop. Maybe he sees me as a source of pain

Sounds they were happy to see me back, they were both purring and they were
pretty excited.

Let's see what the next days have to say, will be a surprise..

Purple is better than red. I am sure they were glad to have their Daddy home. Come on down SK and show Daddy some of those nice numbers you had while he was gone.

It's also possible that SK reacts to stress by dropping low!

Most cats react by going higher, but some will drop instead! China's one that goes lower when she's stressed. When I packed her up and spent a week with her in a hotel room when my mom had open heart surgery, she had some of her lowest numbers!

I think SK is still recovering from three skipped shots in a row. The depot has to refill, so that takes away from the effectiveness of the insulin. This is only the fourth cycle since the skips, so it may be another one or two before you see those nice numbers again.

I think you're right Chris (noticed, I didn't say Christine ). Small Kitty showed no sign of being stressed
when I arrived after the office and I was as someone would be after a day at the office (busy). Took
Small Kitty in my harms, he was purring... I was feeling relax, with no expectation in mind... when...

515 came up... . BUT

If we take a look at how Lantus is working, forming a pool or whatever the name, the reserve must be dry and will need a rebuilt with skipped doses.

Guess it's going to be a while before we have the tank topped up again. Heavy
numbers are to be expected, I fear.
