This is Ivana's first blue number since going OTJ four months ago. Do I need to freak out?? Nothing has changed in the last week in regards to her food, although there have been a couple of changes with her routine (almost all back to normal now though).

When should I retest her, in an hour or two? This test was 2 hrs after her dinner, maybe it was too soon....

I'm glad Ivana brought herself back down. It can make you panic when you see blue. It looks like it was just a food spike. When I test Furball, I test at PS time so her results aren't food influenced.

Grem constantly had blues while in remission but he never really dropped all that low overall. Nothing to panic about, you'll know if Ivana relapses but I truly hope she never has to do the sugar dance again!

I have not decided yet when I will stop doing the daily testing. I have to take a peek at your SS and see how frequently you are testing.
It's so exciting for Bubba!!! And you - how great is it to have your life back :-) The instructions say to test weekly for the first month, then monthly forever. We've decided to stay with weekly forever, as Ivana went into remission so quickly we're paranoid she could come out of remission just as quickly and we'd rather catch it sooner rather than later. She doesn't mind, it's no intrusion into our routine, so weekly it will stay. For me it's easier to remember weekly than monthly, too.

Ivana seems to be a low-flying kitty, which is why that blue freaked me out. What a der-brain I am, testing at food-spike time! Ahh well, we live and learn, and Ivana got to have two post-test treats last night instead of one :-)
