    Ok. She is 3.4
I think I would feel a bit more comfortable if Ivana was just a bit higher because I don't think we have got to nadir yet, so maybe if you could give her a teaspoon of 22 carb again...I don't want to fill her up too much in case we need her to eat later. Thx:)

More food - done. Should I wait a little while to test to let it have effect?

Hope everything is ok with Magellan!

I know - I can't believe she is letting us do everything. She really is getting used to being poked and prodded lately. Although I did get a couple of growls this evening, but I think that was because I was super-stressed and probably taking it out on her.

    Ok that is good!
I think we can stop feeding her now and see how she going on her own without any food.
I think I would keep testing every half hour til the nadir time ...better to be on the cautious side after what has happened.
If she drops at all we will need to give her some more food

I will be up for a bit longer...am still feeding Sheba....she got a bit neglected tonight I am afraid.
When you get a chance Tara, can you add all the tests into the SS. The SS should just expand to accommodate the data I think. Thanks
You both did really well tonight....it must have been frightening for you.

Sheba doesn't mind at all.....she knew I was helping her buddy Ivana!

Thanks for doing the SS. It will be much easier for our wonderful dosing ladies to see what has happened overnight if the SS is filled in.

I have no answer to that.. but then neither did or does Magellan. Also when Magellan went supper low 1.6 he became very insulin sensitive so you might want to be aware of this as well.

Who knows....some cats seem to and others don't. Sheba dropped to 1.6 (29) the other day and didn't show any signs either. It doesn't mean it wasn't an emergency situation. She could have started to show signs at any time.
We were just very very lucky to get her back up without a trip to the vet, I think.

Wow! Looks like all the honey and HC is working big time.
I think it would be safe enough to test in an hour if you are happy with that. What do you think?

She will probably bounce after such a low number, so don't be worried if her numbers go up high. It is her bodies reaction to the low number. Sheba is still bouncing from her 29 a couple of days ago.

    I updated the ss too.

So assuming the next test is ok, at what point would it be safe for me to go to bed? Should I get another an hour after the next one?

I remember the first time Sheba dropped really low ....it was the first time she had to have insulin...and I had not heard of the forum. I tested her and it was one point something....I can't remember the number but it was low. I tried to put honey on Sheba's gums and it got everywhere, my heart was thumping out of my chest. I grabbed her and raced to the vet and when we got there her BS had risen to acceptable levels. I had obviously given her enough honey....and she rises quickly with honey (usually)

I would get the next test ..that will be +6.5...is that right?
If that is not lower than the last one you should be OK.
If it is lower I would test again. If it drops a lot you will need to give more food

If it were me, I would get the next test and if it is OK ...I would set the alarm for 2 hours later and just test again to make sure she was OK ( unless she is skyrocketing with a bounce). The reason I would do that is just in case she dips again

Give Ivana a big hug from me and tell her I think she has been a really super duper girl tonight.
And here are some hugs for you and Darryn:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Yes 6.5 is the next one. Will see what it is and set the alarm accordingly.
Darryn has gone to bed as he's working tomorrow, so it's just me, Ivana, and bad tv.

You guys did great! Sorry I didn't get the alert until now.

These are definitely dose reduction numbers. My only lack of certainty is whether you should go back to 1.25u or drop further back to 1.0u. I've asked for some additional input.

Thanks Sienne, my heart is beating normally again now! I feel so terrible because tonight I went back to 1.5 as the 1.25 didn't seem to be working (see earlier posts in this thread) :-(

Don't feel terrible. And, how about reducing to 1.0u? Numbers in the 20s are serious business and the depot probably hadn't caught up to the 1.5u dose.
