Good morning L&L,

Shmee was not interested in eating this morning. About 15 minutes later I tried again with a spoon and he ate about half. He has been holding off without the Bupe shot since Friday, so I think we may have to be doing it today if his appetite doesn't get better. Fridays shot he had .28mL's - I just looked at the shot and it's .24. Dr. McCue said for both the new meds and the shot we should reduce about 20% since he was having those odd behaviors, so I think I am going to (carefully) squirt some out and do .22mL's if needed today. I will be getting off work early to take DH to get three teeth pulled. I said both you and Shmee had teeth out this year!

I am also just realizing now, that Friday night we both might not be here. He gets 1/2 pill of Cerenia at 8pm... :/ and it is once every 24 hours. I have to take photos for my cousins wedding on Friday... (by no means am I a photographer, I just have a nice camera so I kind of got roped into this). I will be gone all day and night starting around 11am. Steve might be staying home from the wedding because of the surgery today... and now because of Shmee... but I really wanted him to come. I did call PetSafe and after they tried troubleshooting and realized it really is broken they are sending me a new one for free! Apparently they automatically have a one year warranty so that was good! It should be coming before the wedding (hopefully) so maybe we can use that for his food/hormone meds, but he won't be able to get the Cerenia that night. I should have thought about moving the times up before but since its only in two days.. any suggestions? Maybe move it up to 7pm today, 6pm tomorrow, and then 1/4 pill 11am Friday before I leave? I will probably ask my vet her suggestion today too.

Thinking of @Squalliesmom @Ana & Frosty @Beck and Grandpa and @sbluhrs as Sophie recovers from surgery. :bighug:
 
I'm glad Shmee ate some for you. I hope he will continue to eat. I don't know about moving the cerenia. I'm sure someone will have some advice on that. Sending prayers.
 
I hope the next bupe shot helps him feel more comfy and want to eat.

I am not sure how crucial the Cerenia is to be dosed exactly 24 hours apart. Maybe some others will weigh in and hopefully moving the times up won't be up won't be a problem.

Good luck to DH with the extractions.
 
You may want to verify with your vet, but we've given Cerenia accidentally in the morning after the other person gave it the night before and its been fine.

I wouldn't be afraid to bump it up by a couple hours in the days before your event and then give it at 11, but that's just me.
 
I don't think you have to worry to much about moving cerenia up. When Smokey first started on it he was given a shot and I was told to give him the pill (15 mg) 12 hrs later then once a day. Of course this was from the ER Dr who didn't know you could give 1/2 units. Smokey was fine.
 
I would just give it when you get home that night. A few hours later isn’t a problem. I gave it anywhere from 6-9 pm when frosty wasn’t eating - I was dreading giving it and would stall. Now thankfully he just takes it in food.
