We're off and running! Shadow ate is MM this morning and was his purring self. He seems inquisitive today ~ as if he is looking to get into something but just can't find the right outlet for himself. :lol: He just took off running down the hallway!!!! :lol: Guess he is feeling very, very great! He is looking terrific and acting very energetic this morning!

Pedro wants to know if Shadow wants to come by and work off some of that energy. No shoveling got done by anyone yesterday. Hoping it all melts as it's supposed to hit 40 today. They could still go skating on the pond though-

Hey thanks sending the sunshine! We have light clouds, lots of sun and 8°C! The snow is melting finally, it may get cooler and snow/rain mix on the weekend, but the prognosis is looking better heading towards March!

Two kitties are heavy into their morning nap....she on my bed and he on the condo by the window. I hardly disturbed him at all to get the test done. There goes another test strip! How many do I have left? nailbite_smile (Oh...two full boxes and plenty in this one...whew...gotta keep checking ya know :lol: ...soooo glad I'm using the Walmart meter...it's about 50 cents each time I test...instead of $1.00 )
Going to give him another snack at +2...... :mrgreen:

50 cents huh? Now that I think about it....that's what each cigarrette costs me! I suppose I could just throw 50 cents in a jar each time I want to smoke and I'd be able to buy a box of test strips every 10 days or so.

Shadow! You are looking beautiful lately. And look how happy your bean is. She is running up and down the hall, chasing her tail!

I know what you mean about the strips. I changed from the OneTouch Ultra to the Wavesense Presto. Not only does it use half the amount of blood, but the strips are 40 cents each!

Monique--you need to turn some of that "technique" on yourself and your smoking, woman! Make a spreadsheet. Report to us every day in community. We'll get you off those things. Now, can anyone do the same for me and chocolate?

Actually I do that! Since 2 years I have been writing down every time I have a smoke. I only smoke outside and I don't normally take them with me when I go somewhere (stopped smoking in the car 3 years ago) I smoke between 5 and 8 per day and before I go out to the Terrace I note on a peice of paper the time. Before I started doing that I could smoke 15 or 20 cigarrettes in a day and had no idea it was that much. Now when I want one I look at the paper and realize I just had one 1 hour ago, so I wait another hour. As for the chocolate, well that's a problem too, and when I stop smoking the chocolate becomes the next addiction!

He is having a nice snack now....WITH freeze-dried chicken flakes. (It is Wellness and he gags if I try to give it to him without the flakes.... :lol: ok, he doesn't really gag but he acts like he is... :lol: )

Does anyone understand that I just HAD to dp this recap of this day like this! I am very happy...but he is on more insulin so something should have happened. The increase has done the trick and it is working as expected. I just keep thinking that with these beautiful numbers during the past few days, I just know that his pancreas is enjoying some healing....and that is pleasing this Mama Bean so very much!! Thank you Monique! :YMHUG: And thanks to all of you who have watched us and helped us all these months.....could not have done anything like this without you all....

Poops and playing went on today...he loves his little catnip Christmas mouse ...and he has been purring like crazy. His fur is wonderfully soft and shiny....no dandruff at all. He does a very nice job at grooming. :mrgreen:
He has always been a very sweet boy...and he is very placid with my testing...but his numbers were so troubling to me all this time. He is finally doing better in that area now...and his SS is not looking like a 60s tye-dyed tee shirt anymore.... :lol: bcatrun_gif Whoopeeee!!!! :mrgreen:
