Good morning L&L Land Family

I've got to tell you these numbers have put me in a pretty yucky mood. :( My patience pants are really snug right now.

It certainly doesn't help that this is the last day of winter break. My attitude for school this year has been very poor. I am not looking forward to the cold bus stop mornings and homework with my daughter or the long days at school where I can't sit down or take a bathroom break. I have a new, non English speaking, student that starts tomorrow and I will be tutoring her every day. Like I already don't have enough on my plate. o_O

Today I must finish some planning for school, send out a few emails to parents and try to get my condo in the best shape I can because during the week I just don't have the energy or time to stay on top of the cleaning as I would like.

I am just so tired all the time.

Sorry for my cranky pants post!

Amanda and Kitty Osha, The Empress

I so feel your pain, Amanda
How is your Mom? ( I missed some days on the board so I apologize if this has been covered)
:bighug::bighug::bighug:Thanks Carol.

She is doing much better! She even went to the grocery store with me yesterday!!!:woot: She is still weak and has some pain, but she is miles away from where she was in the beginning. I can also tell she is feeling better because she is starting to get bored. I just hope with the cold weather and me going back to work that I can keep her up and about and moving around.

She might feel your stress of going back to work and all the other stuff on your plate. Hopefully she'll make her way down today. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

here is hoping Osha heads back down soon and that you find some excitement / joy in your job so you dont feel so poor about it... ya for your mom going grocery shopping and feeling bored!!! keep healing mama one less thing on Amandas plate!! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Mornnig Amanda,

These numbers are not that bad for a fresh decrease. The depot is a bit unbalanced
and will need a getting used to. Some time you're lucky and drops keep on rolling but
must of the time you got to take out of the dryer your blue pants.

Back to school must be quite something, particularly with student not speaking
English . Didn't tough downloading an app on your cell that translate live what you're
telling them. Then it's THEIR business to understand, if not, sorry for them, they'll
learn dealing without the app :).

Work load is no small I'm sure, don't know how you do to prepare the next days
after a full day at school. After I'm done at the office destination is home for minimal
duty then a merge with the couch with bed time not far away.

Good luck with the app trick, hope it will work !

Seb.

I never thought of trying an app before. ;) I've had non english speaking students before. While it isn't an easy task, they usually do pretty well. It does help if they start in the beginning of the year though and not in the middle. These parents wanted tutoring for an hour every day. :stop: I thought that was waaay too much and thought half an hour 3 times a week would be good, but they didn't think so. We compromised on half an hour every day.

Sometimes I miss my office job when I would come home and my day was just done and over but then I also remember how completely bored at work I was and would just clock watch all day. That wasn't fun.

This year has just been difficult. I've had the most challenging students and knowing my school is closing at the end of the year really has me in a funk and feeling anxiety.

Hope Osha settles down soon for you. How old are your students? Anyway mom can help with the school work? Maybe making some tools, thinking of projects, or grading papers? It will help her from being to bored too. This will date me but I found using flash cards had a big impact on me.

Don't be shy at putting a break on those draining your juice. When a user want to be taken by the hand for
more time we can I've develop a little trick. I remote on their computer, open a google page with the appropriate
key works and tell them they have plenty of information to start. THEN if they have yes no questions to call but
to to their part before. You're parent starting with a new language must receive the same treatment. Just
write down no a piece of paper some radio station or tv channel and them this is the best way to learn.
Worst case scenario the can set on bustitle. Then BYE ! Have fun !!!!

.

I hope Osha will settle into the new dose soon. Sorry things are so stressful about school right now. I hope it will be better than you think. Hopefully your mom can find some project to work on to keep her from getting bored. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

:bighug::bighug:

I had my melt down a few days ago. Bawled my eyes out in the shower. Don't have any advise you don't already have. Just hugs. :bighug::bighug:

Sorry about that yucky number! And the back to school stress. I spent the day in front of my computer, working on my syllabi. I just wish that Christmas break would be an actual "break" and not just extra time to work on course prep.

I hope you have a good first day tomorrow and that your students won't be too challenging. ...and I would be careful with translation software. Facebook now automatically translates all posts from my German friends into English and I have seen quite a few hilarious mistakes where they totally missed the actual meaning.

Thanks for the heads up on the software Christina. ;)

Yes, I wish it was a real break, or at least that I would get paid for the time I was working....I have worked countless hours for free and bought many items to supply my own classroom with. Part of the 'perk' of being a teacher I suppose.

PMPS 305

Ug!! Super depressing. :(

Sorry for the high numbers. Dose change are always tricky and you need to be patient before
taking any conclusion.

Look across the border and you'll feel a bounce of encouragement :) (Small Kitty just went true 2 reducies).
Conclusions can hardly be taken before a solid 3 days (6 cycles).

She's alright, no worry.

Sleep well Amanda

hey Osha... Lincoln should be back in the lagoon shortly ... both of you stay there now... no going deeper please

It's the 'typical' end of the cycle for Osha, so I don't think she will go lower.....although I am staying up for the next test (thank heavens for back to school anxiety) Come on Lincoln and join osha for a moonlight surf!

That is so great. Does she get treats after testing? Gizmo won't come but will lay down once in his testing place. He just gets scratches and smooches after his testing. Everyone that was here over the holidays were amazed at his complacency about testing.

She doesn't get treats after testing. I hope that doesn't make me a bad kitty momma.....she just comes when she hears the test bottle, or the meter beeping to register the strip.

lol stressing them out... Lincoln would mess himself every time he had to go to the vet... at home he walks into the man cave, jumps up on the chair and purrs waiting for me... lol stressing them out
