Very nice flatness so far today. It's a start with the poop...sending along more vines, and starting up good vetty vines now, too!

Since I think we will do all the prep for a dental, I emailed my vet to ask if I should fast him but haven't heard back. I usually try and do bw in the morning but I'm going in at 2:00. So I'm thinking I will feed him up to 8:30 unless he drops too much after that and he should have about 6 hours without food. I question myself every time yet my vet never gives guidelines on this which is likely why he never answered my email. The last few times this is what I did as well.
 
Gearing up the vetty vines and will keep them running.

Thanks Marilyn and Tricia. He's definitely having poop problems. Very odd indeed. Not super hungry considering his BG but as long as he surfs I'd rather he not eat. He was up to 16 lbs 3 oz a couple of days ago. I bought if he would move around even a little his bowels would move better but that isn't going to happen. He's worse than a couch potato.

Well that's a nice cycle for Max, sending poop vines! Sometimes constipation can cause nausea and thus eating problems. How is his appetite? Did you ever try the slippery elm bark? Hope your mom's new AB is working for her.:bighug::bighug:
 
I'm just hoping his kidneys are okay as he still pees a lot even with the good numbers. It would be nice to find out he isn't going deaf but I'm almost positive he is. My SEB expired 2013 so I didn't try it. I was looking into ordering NOW SEB from iherb but it had a cancer warning so I wanted more info on it.

We just got through a bout of constipation with Clare and it seemed like as long as things were moving at all (even hard poop) the Miralax did the trick. So I'm wishing the same for Max and sending lots of good vetty vines for later on today.

Thanks, Georgette. I was giving Max Miralax every day for several months. Then I read that it might not be safe and tried to stop using it. I was hoping I could substitute pumpkin alone but that didn't work. I posted an article about an investigation on its safety on the main health board. I'll see what my vet suggests tomorrow.
