    Hi folks,

Well here we go day 1 starting a little higher than normal. Junior is working on emptying his colon with the help of medication and not eating as much. He is eating this morning though. In the short past if he is working on his colon and not eating his numbers go up. So I have enlisted Jack to tell him all about life OTJ and give him pep talks at night in the sugar room. Go Junior!

Another foggy day in the high 30's here in MN and winter folks have had enough of it! :D

    Thank you!
    Linda

So Junior has had a rough day working his mega colon out. Historically if he is working on his colon he isn't eating and it affects his numbers.
My thoughts are not to respond with insulin if he is below 110. Today he also started the day higher than the rest of the week because of his colon.
Unless otherwise suggested I am going to keep him OTJ at this point and see what overnight brings. He is still trying to empty his colon and may need an enema.:banghead:

Just test him 3 hours after dinner and see if he brings his numbers down. It's not unexpected to see the odd blue number the first few days of an OTJ trial. Given everything else he has going on, makes sense to give him some leeway.

    Sending poo vines for Junior.

    Good luck Junior!

I had a cat with a V shape in her colon and she would get so backed up and I would have to give her enemas. ugh.

So tonight he is a little high again. I did not go to get enema fluid today because at +5 he began to eat normal again and I thought he had pooped.
Alas at PMPS he is not eating again. I am beginning to wonder if I should change the time on his PS tests to one hour earlier or later.
He just received his cisipride again along with his other meds and I will follow what Wendy suggested yesterday and test again at +3.
Thanks for all the nice comments :bighug:
