    Hi Folks,

Well the good news is his BG is good and the bad news is he still needs to poop. He is very upset this morning and lethargic. I called the Vet who doubled his cisipride and we are waiting. If not I will go get some enema solution and get that in him. SO I to am praying for poopy Vines!:D

    Thanks for stopping by!

    Linda

Linda, btw, what do you feed Jack ??? Elmo has had slightly elevated BUN/CRE so I am backing off FF . Had switched to Evo but it has been discontinued:(. Currently feeding Wellness and Whole Earth. Would love to hear what you think . :cat:

Also , Linda, with the mega colon issue I am sure you know far more than I about poopy issues but does Slippery Elm not help at all.???

I feed Jack friskies pate only and his BUN/CRE is fine and his BG is fine. I think its luck.

So its +3 and he has not eaten the offerings I gave him over the last few hours. My suspicion is he may need new food flavors to help. He is interested in food just not the friskies and FF I offered him. I also remembered to give him fluids tonight :banghead::banghead: I can't believe I forgot. (lots of that happening lately hmm) So he is tucked in with a shot of bupe for pain and his other meds and fluids after sampling a bit of the food I offered. Hopefully his night will let him empty his colon. The research I have been doing is yielding nothing but surgery that may or may not work. I am still not convinced to give up on his OTJ trial yet. Open to advice though.

I'd keep going and see how the next day or two play out and whether the numbers keep trending up. Pain/discomfort can raise the numbers. My non diabetic civie tested over 220 at the vet, during a painful cystitis episode, and in the low 50's at home the next day.
