Nice! And really nice on a weekend when you can get some extra test in to see how low he goes.
Actually I can only get extra tests on Saturdays. Sundays I’m at church most of the day. Won’t be back until at least +7. And the day will likely be similar to 1/25 - he spikes high with food and takes forever to come down and therefore blues all day. BUT as I keep saying, the only reason for that is meter change. Yellows all day is common and there is a 40% difference between old and new meters. Trend wise his numbers have not improved.

So sorry to hear about your mom. Sending kindest thoughts.

FWIW, working with an AT here (so "real" numbers), my vet told me 4-8 was the ideal range we were aiming for. When I started flipping out about hypos, he told me "well, down to 2 there's probably no real danger". Now, doesn't mean I became complacent, but it did stop me flipping out whenever I saw 3.6.

I changed from old AT to AT2 and there was a roughly 1mmol/l jump in numbers. (On Q's SS: "meter comparison hell" tab). Finally switched, but now of course Q's numbers in the SS look blue when before they would have been green. (And with a human meter they would be super green.)

So yeah, when you look at that, you wonder why we get our panties in a knot about 160 vs 150... or worse, 51 vs 50.

Gosh, that is a HUGE difference, IMHO. Are these both supposed to be human meters? This is the kind of situation which would make me want to get a third player (meter) to the party ASAP. Nobody on the board living within driving distance who could come over and do a meter comparison session with you?

I can understand how that can make it very difficult to interpret the guidelines for dose adjustments.

Well actually between the two meters that is still ok. A + or - 20% is allowed so minus 20% from the accucheck and add 20% to the freestyle and it’s close. But you see the reason I’m upset about the sudden drop in numbers being deceptive? There’s 40% between old and new meter readings!

It’s just so discouraging because I am seeing great numbers but can’t believe they are real.
Right before you switched meters you saw a blue at AMPS on 1/20 and a very low yellow at PMPS on 1/19. I think Silver was just starting to show you lower numbers on the old meter. I think he is showing improvement. :bighug:

Yes but look further up on the ss with the old meter - December he was often getting one random blue then back to yellows. I’m not seeing change in the last several increases.
