Well, Deputy China has been on duty in the lagoon all day after doing a little sunbathing on the beach early this morning

Really didn't mean to not get another test in today but had to take DM to PT and then went shopping and when I got back to pick her up she was on a bed, covered up in several blankets with the therapist sitting next to her. Don't know what was going on, but DM started coughing, was SOB and then complained of feeling cold and clammy, so they laid her down, took her vital signs (all good) and sat with her until I got back. She'd cough to the point where she was gagging, which would just upset her more and the whole thing continued. It was late before we felt she was strong enough to go home. She upsets herself when she can't be the person she wants to be (even though the 2 people there have known her for years and love her) and I think she got into a vicious cycle where she'd cough, gag, get upset and the whole thing started over. Once I got her home, she seemed to be fine so I'm not sure what started it but I didn't get home until it was almost T/F/S time

Good thing Miss China is a professional surfer!!

Supposed to get a LOT colder over the next couple of days so I'm hoping there's no reason I will need to take her out. We'll just have to wait and see how things are on Friday when she has her next PT appointment

China, nice job carrying on with your duties while Mama was taking care of Grandmabean! You are such a dedicated deputy!

Yo Deputy China, Great being on duty in the lagoon with you today. We kept those kitties surfing safe. Some of them wanted to swim with the mermaids. I'm taking a breather on shore, but will be back later.

Thanks for the vines for DM!!

Since she's been home, she's coughed a little, but nothing like the scene we dealt with this afternoon at PT!! I was really concerned we were going to have to call the ambulance....if her vital signs hadn't have been perfect, I would have but the last time she was "cold and clammy and really weak" and I had them take her to the hospital, they couldn't find anything wrong with her and sent her home 3 hours later. They won't even hold them overnight anymore without a darn good reason!

I just wish I had some idea of what set her off today so I could try to avoid it! Going to call the cardiologist tomorrow and see if I can get her in earlier than February....see if there's anything he can do to help with her SOB but I have a feeling there's really nothing he can do since she's not willing to have the surgery to repair the leaky mitral valve in her heart

Miss China's being such a good kitty....not giving her mama any reason for worry!! Thank you honey!! Mama loves you too!!!
