    Hi everyone,

Well, it's been 5 days of Caninsulin for Sara 0.6 BID, low carb wet food, 2/3 of her food at shot and 1/3 at +2.5

What I'm frustrated about is that her PS values are slowly going up, from 280s with no insulin to now 330s.
The first days, she peaked at 150s, but now it seems it's going down less, about 180s.
It seems that there is even MORE PU/PD !!!!

    PS BGs 280-330
    Peak numbers around 150-180

    Can this be rebound?
I'm stuck, not sure if I should increase the dose, or decrease the dose!

and is there a 'shed' with Caninsulin, like lantus? I mean, do I need to wait longer before changing doses or expecting results?

Her spreadsheet is below, make sure to go to the Second Page "sara round 2" if you want to look at it....

    Frustrated.

    thanks for any help!

Is your spreadsheet public? It wouldn't let me see it.

Can you change to Lantus (glargine) or Levemir (detemir)?

Caninsulin is not great for cats, and was actually recalled here in the U.S. (marketed under the name Vetsulin)

sorry, just changed the settings, you should be able to see the spreadsheet now....

I want to change to Lantus next week, but have to see with the vet.
the only hesitation was that we didnt feel we could wait for a week or two for Lantus to get her numbers down, needed to relieve her kidneys fast from all that sugar overload....

and that will be next week,

But what should I shoot in the next 20 minutes??!!

I can't access your spreadsheet but based on the info in your post, you have room for an increase
