Thanks for the tips on how to deal without power. Fortunately the lights were back on by his next test and a good thing too as I might have been inclined to skip a test since he ate. The dive was not expected. :cat: Again I was glad he ate when he hit 50 as I dosed off and didn't test again for 1 1/2 hours. If he dropped any lower I'll never know unless he bounces. :banghead::eek:

Vines and prayers to all in need with extras for Amy's DF, Gracie,Tricia's 4, and anyone else in need.

Nice start for Max! I'm sorry I missed yetserday's condo - we were without power for 5 days after Sandy and it was no fun, but doable. Somehow we always manage when it comes to our kitties! I'm glad your power came back in time.

Thanks for the extra prayers....I'm sure they are helping. Have a great day, Elise!

Wow, I missed the power outage part last night! Glad everything turned out ok. Looks like Trixie Max (whoops) took it all in stride :D

I think yiu mean Max, lol, and he was happy for less pokes.

Cancelled my class this morning as he's trending down again. He is stepping in his pee balls and getting it caked into his paws. He used to use two boxes so I'm going to try that again to see if it helps. I managed to get one paw almost clean and started working on the other without getting scratched or bitten.

Power out. Small town. Desert. Local power company. Lots of them here. I use a headlamp, bought years ago when I was still in the camping mode. Also have several battery power lanterns in the house along with replacement batteries for everything.

Max, keep the surf going. I'm thinking Mr. Smooth should make an appearance tonight.

Vines, Elise.

Bummer on the power outage, but glad you got it back in time.

Beautiful surf today, Max. Way to keep the bean's attention!

Good luck with the paws, Elise. It's a constant here with both Cinco (being blind) and Sasha (three legs and no balance). Tail cleaning is also a frequent event with those two - more challenging than you might think!

Vines and prayers for your DM. Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts.

I switched from wood stove pellets (think feline pine) to the World's Best Cat Litter when the vet suggested the pine pellets might be bothering punkin's feet, and have never looked back. We'd gotten one box of clay litter, but i hated it. Yes, it stuck to his paws and was gross, plus with his kidneys and the water I added to his food, he had giant pee balls that were so heavy to scoop. I still buy the WBCL for my 3 cats now - it's expensive but 1 bag lasts us a month, so for 1 cat it would be about $10 per month. Plus it's flushable, which is so convenient, and it never sticks to the kitty's feet. Doesn't seem to get tracked out much either.

Adding my vines and prayers for your mom too.

Thanks Julie. I've thought about switching to a different litter but worried Max might not take to it since he's such a creature of habit. I think I'll buy a bag to try.
