Today is day 6 of cabergoline. Big bounce last night from yesterday's greens. Hoping he continues to come down SLOWLY tonight. Tomorrow is the first of 4 days that Gizmo is on his own all day (from +1 until +10). :nailbiting: I will probably leave him extra LC food out. I hate to leave MC or HC not knowing what his numbers are. This whole thing makes me very nervous. Should I mix some LC with MC? I just don't know what would be best to leave for him.

Those greens for Gizmo yesterday were very nice to see :D. It's such a struggle, I know I keep looking for patterns, to give me clues on how Maverick does during the day, so I can decide going forward what he might need to eat if I'm not there. I've only had to use MC once, when Gizmo hits the greens, do you usually steer with LC or MC?

I usually just use LC. I've only ever used MC food a few times when he dropped below 68. I think I'm going to split his +3 snack (4tsp TikiCat) between +2 and +3 (2tsp each feeding). Then split his +6 (same as +3) between +4 and +5. I'll probably add an extra tsp at +6 then. This is probably going overboard, but it will give him a little bit of food every hour from +2 until +6.

Good luck tomorrow and the next few days. I hope Gizmo will be just fine. As long as he eats, he should be OK. Perhaps try one of the "higher carb" LC foods?

Thanks. I'm sure he will. He sleeps by the food dish when he knows food is in it. So eating won't be a problem. At least I don't have to worry about that. It's just finding that point where I leave enough food, but not to much and send his numbers soaring. But of course better to leave to much than not enough.

That is why I got a webcam to watch him and make sure he ate.
Have one set up, but eating usually isn't a problem. Just reassures me that he is still ok and isn't eating his sister's food. Although he always ate her food, so I have to feed her extra before I leave and than again when I get home.

I can get a +1, but don't really think it will tell me much of anything. The past few times he has dove, the dive has started around +2 (except when it hasn't-lol).
Me too...best I can get is a +1. I agree maybe splitting up your feedings as you noted is a good idea, just in case he needs some food between +3 and +6. Now, getting used to the idea of NOT being able to test since you are gone, that's a bit more difficult!

Facing the same dilemma myself... don't want something going wrong when I'm away, but don't want to mess her numbers up, either. If only Girlie were like Maggie or Bubba! :-)

I hope all goes well with Gizmo! :-)
